Shama'il al-Muhammadiya, Book of The Fruits Eaten By Prophet of Allah ﷺ

Abdullah ibn Jaafar (may Allah be pleased with him) says, Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate Qith'thaa (cucumbers) with dates

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَزَارِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ، يَأْكُلُ الْقِثَّاءَ بِالرُّطَبِ.

Aisha radiyallah anha reports that, Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate watermelon with fresh dates.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْبَصْرِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، كَانَ يَأْكُلُ الْبِطِّيخَ بِالرُّطَبِ.

Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) says, I saw Messenger of Allah ﷺ eat together musk-melon and dates.

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ حُمَيْدًا، أَوْ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي حُمَيْدٌ، قَالَ وَهْبٌ: وَكَانَ صَدِيقًا لَهُ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ، يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَ الْخِرْبِزِ وَالرُّطَبِ.

Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says, Messenger of Allah ﷺ ate watermelon with fresh dates.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الرَّمْلِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الصَّلْتِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ رُومَانَ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَكَلَ الْبِطِّيخَ بِالرُّطَبِ.

Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports, When the people saw (picked their) new fruit, they used to come and present it to Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Messenger of Allah ﷺ then recited this du'a:
Transliteration: Allahumma baarik lana fi thimaa-rina wa-baarik lanaa fi madinatinaa wa-baarik lanaa fi saa-'i-naa wa-fi muddinaa-Allahumma-inna Ebraahima 'ab-duka wa-kha-li-luka wa-nabiy-yuka wa-inna ab-duka wa-nabiy-yuka wa-in-nahu da'aa-ka li-makkata wa-inni ad'u-ka lil-madinati bi-mith-li maa da'aaka bihi li-makkata wa-mith-lahu ma'a-hu.Translation: O Allah! Bless us in our fruits. Bless us in our city. Bless us in our Saa', and bless us in our Mudd' (these are two measures used in Madinah to measure dates, etc.). O Allah verily Ibrahim alaihis salaam is Your servant, friend and Nabi (since it was an occasion for humbleness Sayyidina Messenger of Allah ﷺ did not mention here his being the habib - beloved - of Alah.) And (whatever) he has supplicated to You for (colonising) Makkah. (Which is mentioned in the aayah, ...so incline some hearts of men that they may yearn towards them, and provide Thou them with fruits in order that they may be thankful. - Surah Ibrahim, 37) I supplicate the same to You for Madinah."He then called a small child, to whom he gave that fruit.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ (ح) وَحَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَعْنٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّاسُ إِذَا رَأَوْا أَوَّلَ الثَّمَرِ جَاءُوا بِهِ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَإِذَا أَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، قَالَ: اللَّهُمَّ بَارِكْ لَنَا فِي ثِمَارِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي مَدِينَتِنَا، وَبَارِكْ لَنَا فِي صَاعِنَا وَفِي مُدِّنَا، اللَّهُمَّ إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ عَبْدُكَ وَخَلِيلُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَإِنِّي عَبْدُكَ وَنَبِيُّكَ، وَإِنَّهُ دَعَاكَ لِمَكَّةَ، وَإِنِّي أَدْعُوكَ لِلْمَدِينَةِ، بِمِثْلِ مَا دَعَاكَ بِهِ لِمَكَّةَ وَمِثْلِهِ مَعَهُ، قَالَ: ثُمَّ يَدْعُو أَصْغَرَ وَلِيدٍ يَرَاهُ، فَيُعْطِيهِ ذَلِكَ الثَّمَرَ.

Rubayyi bint Mu'awwidh ibn Afraa radiyallahu anha says, My uncle Mu'aadh ibn Afraa sent me with a plate of fresh dates, which had small cucumbers on it, to Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Messenger of Allah ﷺ relished cucumbers. I took this to him. At that time some jewellery had been sent to Messenger of Allah ﷺ from Bahrain. He took a handful from it and gave it to me

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمَّارِ بْنِ يَاسِرٍ، عَنِ الرُّبَيِّعِ بِنْتِ مُعَوِّذِ بْنِ عَفْرَاءَ، قَالَتْ: بَعَثَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَفْرَاءَ بِقِنَاعٍ مِنْ رُطَبٍ وَعَلَيْهِ أَجْرٌ مِنْ قِثَّاءِ زُغْبٍ وَكَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يُحِبُّ الْقِثَّاءَ، فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِهِ وَعِنْدَهُ حِلْيَةٌ قَدْ قَدِمَتْ عَلَيْهِ مِنَ الْبَحْرَيْنِ، فَمَلأَ يَدَهُ مِنْهَا فَأَعْطَانِيهِ.
