Introduction
On this page you will find our privacy policy and what information do we collect and why. We are very transparent with our policies as we believe that we will be asked (on the Day of Judgement) for every action we take.

Cookie Policy
What are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that are placed on your computer by websites that you visit. These text files can be read by these websites and help to identify your configurations when you return to the website. Cookies can be persistent or session cookies. Persistent cookies remain on your computer when you have gone offline, while session cookies are deleted as soon as you close your web browser.
Our use of Cookies & Local Storage
We make use of cookies in following ways:
- To identify you when you log in to your account for personalised experience.
- To save your preferences for later use. These are small configurations required by server for best user experience, to give you an idea, if you choose a specific font for reading the Qur'an, we will store it as a cookie. So next time you visit the site, you will not need to change the font again.
- We try to avoid cookies where ever possible and use your browser's local storage feature. This is a storage inside your browser and nothing on this storage is sent to the browser, unless explicitly sent to the server.
- Local storage is also used for preferences and best user experience.

- Google Analytics: This is an analysis tool which help us improve user experience. We do not collect any of your personal identifying information.
- Sign in with Google: This service allows you to log in to our site using your Google account.
- Mixpanel: Another tool to improve user experience that helps us find potential problems to be able to fix them.
These are the only third-party services we use. Other than these, we use search engines for you to find us when you need these search engines, like Google or Bing.
Analytics Policy
We send events to our servers when you or any user visit certain types of pages or perform some action. The sole purpose of these events is to improve user experience.
Accounts Policy
Every account on this site is identified with their associated email address. This means if you use one email address from 2 third-party services (e.g, Google and Microsoft), you will be identified as a same person.
We store following information when you sign up to your account:
- Your email address, this is the primary information needed for your account, because if we did not store this information, we would never be able to authenticate you when you want to sign in again.
- Your name if you have set it from your public profile page.
- Your username if you choose to set it.
- You session information so you can track your active logins (from profile page). You can sign out from any of your sessions if you do not identify the device that it was logged in from or if you believe that your account has been compromised. Please note that we do not use this information otherwise.
Your accounts are used to store following:
- Bookmarks to retrieve back your bookmarked items from bookmarks page.
- Create and share public/private collections.
- Qurʾān memorization to help you track your Qurʾān memorization.
- Qurʾān revision to assist you with your revision.
- Your account handle / username when displaying a public information.
- If you have special permissions to submit ḥadīth or article changes for reviews, we disclose your username to other reviewers to make it easy for them to review and to increase your points.
- Any other personalized experience.
We Care for You
Please note, we care for our users and we do not disclose any of their information to any third party agency or company to the best of our ability. We certainly do not sell users' identity to the spammers or ad agencies (or even Facebook, Google or anyone else). We believe we are answerable to Allāh on the Day of Judgement and nothing will avail us any benefit against His
Will.
We are extremely careful with our data, authenticity and users' privacy. We do not compromise in any situation, in shaa Allāh. Please remember us in dua`a for steadfastness.
