"While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , a man approached and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, how long will the hope of your nation last?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ remained silent until the man asked him three times. Then the man left, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to him, 'You asked me about something that no one from my nation has ever asked me about. The hope of my nation will last for one hundred years.' The man asked, 'O Messenger of Allah, will there be any signs or indications for that?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Yes, there will be throwing of pebbles, sinking of lands, earthquakes, and the sending of stoned devils upon people.'"

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ كَامِلِ بْنِ خَلَفٍ الْقَاضِي بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ ذِي عَصْوَانَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّكْسَكِيِّ عَنْ جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ قَالَ

بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وُقُوفٌ إِذْ أَقْبَلَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَا مُدَّةُ رَجَاءِ أُمَّتِكَ؟ قَالَ فَسَكَتَ عَنْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَتَّى سَأَلَهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ثُمَّ وَلَّى الرَّجُلُ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَقَدْ سَأَلْتَنِي عَنْ شَيْءٍ مَا سَأَلَنِي عَنْهُ أَحَدٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي رَجَاءُ أُمَّتِي مِائَةُ سَنَةٍ» قَالَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَهَلْ لِتِلْكَ مِنْ أَمَارَةٍ أَوْ آيَةٍ أَوْ عَلَامَةٍ قَالَ «نَعَمْ الْقَذْفُ وَالْخَسْفُ وَالرَّجْفُ وَإِرْسَالُ الشَّيَاطِينِ الْمُلْجَمَةِ عَنِ النَّاسِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ إسناده مظلم

I know that among the nation of Muhammad ﷺ in Hellfire are people who say: "If we were misguided, what about the five daily prayers, both day and night? Verily, there are only two prayers: Asr and Fajr." And there are people who say: "Indeed, faith is only words. And if one commits adultery or kills..." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزَّاهِدُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَرُومَةَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنِ الْأَوْزَاعِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو السَّيْبَانِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الدَّيْلَمِيِّ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ الْيَمَانِ قَالَ

إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَهْلَ دِينَيْنِ مِنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ فِي النَّارِ قَوْمٌ يَقُولُونَ إِنْ كَانَ أَوَّلُنَا ضُلَّالًا مَا بَالُ خَمْسِ صَلَوَاتٍ فِي الْيَوْمِ وَاللَّيْلَةِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ صَلَاتَانِ الْعَصْرُ وَالْفَجْرُ وَقَوْمٌ يَقُولُونَ إِنَّمَا الْإِيمَانُ كَلَامٌ وَإِنْ زَنَى وَإِنْ قَتَلَ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

I heard Awf ibn Malik al-Ashja'i say, "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the battle of Tabuk, and he was in a dome made of adham (a type of red clay). He said to me, 'O Awf, prepare for six things before the end of time: My death, the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), then two deaths that will afflict you like the deaths of sheep, then an abundance of wealth among you to the extent that a man will be given a hundred dinars and he will remain dissatisfied, then a fitnah (trial) in which no Arab household will be spared, then a truce between you and the Banu Asfar (Romans) that they will break and come to you under eighty flags, with each flag led by twelve thousand men. I (al-Awf) said, 'We remembered this hadith from a senior scholar of Madinah, whose name was Waleed ibn Muslim.' And he (Waleed) said, 'Then the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis.' The sheikh (Awf) said, 'Sa'eed al-Maqburi informed me from Abu Hurairah that he used to narrate these six things from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and instead of saying 'the conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis,' he would say, 'the existence of Bayt al-Maqdis.'" – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

سَمِعْتُ عَوْفَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيَّ يَقُولُ أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ فَقَالَ لِي يَا عَوْفُ اعْدُدْ سِتًّا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ مَوْتِي ثُمَّ فَتْحُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ثُمَّ مَوْتَانٌ يَأْخُذُ فِيكُمْ كَعُقَاصِ الْغَنَمِ ثُمَّ اسْتِفَاضَةُ الْمَالِ فِيكُمْ حَتَّى يُعْطَى الرَّجُلُ مِائَةَ دِينَارٍ فَيَظَلُّ سَاخِطًا ثُمَّ فِتْنَةٌ لَا يَبْقَى بَيْتٌ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ إِلَّا دَخَلَتْهُ ثُمَّ هُدْنَةٌ تَكُونُ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ بَنِي الْأَصْفَرِ فَيَغْدِرُونَ فَيَأْتُونَكُمْ تَحْتَ ثَمَانِينَ غَايَةٍ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا قَالَ الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ فَذَاكَرْنَا هَذَا الْحَدِيثَ شَيْخًا مِنْ شُيُوخِ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ قَوْلُهُ ثُمَّ فَتْحُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ فَقَالَ الشَّيْخُ أَخْبَرَنِي سَعِيدٌ الْمَقْبُرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُحَدِّثُ بِهَذِهِ السِّتَّةِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَيَقُولُ بَدَلَ «فَتْحِ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ» عِمْرَانُ بَيْتَ الْمَقْدِسِ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

I came from Sham to the city in search of knowledge, and I heard Mu'adh ibn Jabal saying, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'Those who love each other for the sake of Allah will have pulpits of light on the Day of Resurrection, and the martyrs will envy them.'"

أَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُؤَمَّلِ ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ ثَنَا نُعَيْمُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ بِمِصْرَ ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ أَبِي الْمُسَاوِرِ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عُمَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَدِمْتُ مِنَ الشَّامِ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فِي طَلَبِ الْعِلْمِ فَسَمِعْتُ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْمُتَحَابُّونَ فِي اللَّهِ لَهُمْ مَنَابِرُ مِنْ نُورٍ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَغْبِطُهُمُ الشُّهَدَاءُ»

"And by Allah, indeed that is true, just as you are sitting. This hadith, even though it is stopped, its chain of narrators is authentic according to the condition of men, which is suitable for the hadith narrator mentioned before, which is authentic and stopped." – Sound

فَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أَنْبَأَ الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ مَزِيدٍ الْبَيْرُوتِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبِ بْنِ شَابُورَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ جَابِرٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَيْرِيزٍ أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ كَانَ يَقُولُ «عُمْرَانُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ خَرَابُ يَثْرِبَ وَخَرَابُ يَثْرِبَ حُضُورُ الْمَلْحَمَةِ وَحُضُورُ الْمَلْحَمَةِ فَتْحُ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ وَفَتْحُ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ خُرُوجُ الدَّجَّالِ» قَالَ ثُمَّ ضَرَبَ مُعَاذٌ عَلَى مَنْكِبِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَقَالَ

«وَاللَّهِ إِنَّ ذَلِكَ لَحَقٌّ كَمَا أَنَّكَ جَالِسٌ» هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ وَإِنْ كَانَ مَوْقُوفًا فَإِنَّ إِسْنَادَهُ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الرِّجَالِ وَهُوَ اللَّائِقُ بِالْمُسْنِدِ الَّذِي تَقَدَّمَهُ صحيح موقوف – صحيح

Abū Aḥmad

About a man from the companions of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ named Tha'alib, who was the nephew of Al-Najashi. He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Make a peace treaty with the Romans that is safe and secure, until you both attack a common enemy from behind them and achieve victory and gain spoils. Then you part ways until you descend upon a place called Marj Dhi Tul – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْهَيْثَمِ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ الْمِصِّيصِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ

عَنْ ذِي مِخْمَرٍ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَخِي النَّجَاشِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ تُصَالِحُونَ الرُّومَ صُلْحًا آمِنًا حَتَّى تَغْزُونَ أَنْتُمْ وَهُمْ عَدُوًّا مِنْ وَرَائِهِمْ فَتُنْصَرُونَ وَتَغْنَمُونَ وَتَنْصَرِفُونَ حَتَّى تَنْزِلُوا بِمَرْجِ ذِي تُلُولٍ فَيَقُولُ قَائِلٌ مِنَ الرُّومِ غَلَبَ الصَّلِيبُ وَيَقُولُ قَائِلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بَلِ اللَّهُ غَلَبَ فَيَتَدَاوَلَانِهَا بَيْنَهُمْ فَيَثُورُ الْمُسْلِمُ إِلَى صَلِيبِهِمْ وَهُمْ مِنْهُمْ غَيْرُ بَعِيدٍ فَيَدُقُّهُ وَيَثُورُ الرُّومُ إِلَى كَاسِرِ صَلِيبِهِمْ فَيَقْتُلُونَهُ وَيَثُورُ الْمُسْلِمُونَ إِلَى أَسْلِحَتِهِمْ فَيُقْتَلُونَ فَيُكْرِمُ اللَّهُ ﷻ تِلْكَ الْعِصَابَةَ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ بِالشَّهَادَةِ فَيَقُولُ الرُّومُ لِصَاحِبِ الرُّومِ كَفَيْنَاكَ جَدَّ الْعَرَبِ فَيَغْدِرُونَ فَيَجْتَمِعُونَ لِلْمَلْحَمَةِ فَيَأْتُونَكُمْ تَحْتَ ثَمَانِينَ غَايَةٍ تَحْتَ كُلِّ غَايَةٍ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» صحيح – صحيح

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: you will make a secure peace with the Byzantines, then you and they will fight an enemy behind you, and you will be victorious, take booty, and be safe. You will then return and alight in a meadow with mounds and one of the Christians will raise the cross and say: The cross has conquered. One of the Muslims will become angry and smash it, and the Byzantines will act treacherously and prepare for the battle. – Sound

وَقَدْ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ سَابِقٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي حَسَّانُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ قَالَ قَامَ مَكْحُولٌ وَابْنُ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا إِلَى خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ وَقُمْتُ مَعَهُمَا فَقَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ قَالَ

انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى ذِي مِخْمَرٍ صَاحِبِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «سَتُصَالِحُكُمُ الرُّومُ صُلْحًا آمِنًا ثُمَّ تَغْزُونَ أَنْتُمْ وَهُمْ عَدُوًّا فَتُنْصَرُونَ وَتَسْلَمُونَ وَتَفْتَحُونَ ثُمَّ تُنْصَرُونَ بِمَرْجٍ فَيَرْفَعُ لَهُمْ رَجُلٌ مِنَ النَّصْرَانِيَّةِ الصَّلِيبَ فَيَغْضَبُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ فَيَقُومُ إِلَيْهِمْ فَيَدُقُّ الصَّلِيبُ فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ تَغْضَبُ الرُّومُ فَيَجْتَمِعُونَ لِلْمَلْحَمَةِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَهُوَ أَوْلَى مِنَ الْأَوَّلِ صحيح – صحيح

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Constantinople will be conquered, and what a wonderful leader its leader will be, and what a wonderful army that army will be." Ubaidullah said: "Then Maslamah ibn Abd al-Malik called me and asked me about this hadith, so I narrated it to him, and he (Maslamah ibn Abd al-Malik) then conquered Constantinople." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْإِمَامُ ثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بِشْرٍ الْغَنَوِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَتُفْتَحَنَّ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةُ وَلَنِعْمَ الْأَمِيرُ أَمِيرُهَا وَلَنِعْمَ الْجَيْشُ ذَلِكَ الْجَيْشُ» قَالَ عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ «فَدَعَانِي مَسْلَمَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ فَسَأَلَنِي عَنْ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ فَحَدَّثْتُهُ فَغَزَا الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ writing, and a man asked, "Which of the two cities will be conquered first, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "The city of Heraclius," referring to the city of Constantinople. – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ مَرْثَدٍ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عُفَيْرٍ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ عَنْ أَبِي قَبِيلٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ يَقُولُ تَذَاكَرْنَا فَتْحَ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ وَالرُّومِيَّةِ فَدَعَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو بِصُنْدُوقٍ فَفَتَحَهُ فَقَالَ

كُنَّا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ نَكْتُبُ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ أَيُّ الْمَدِينَتَيْنِ تُفْتَحُ قَبْلُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «مَدِينَةُ هِرَقْلَ» يُرِيدُ مَدِينَةَ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

Indeed, the Prophet ﷺ said to Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, "May Allah protect you, O Ka'b, from the leadership of the foolish." Ka'b asked, "And what is the leadership of the foolish, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "It is the princes who come after me, who do not follow my guidance, nor abide by my Sunnah. Whoever believes in their lies and supports them in their injustice is not of me, and I am not of them. They will not meet me at my pond. And whoever does not believe in their lies and does not support them in their injustice is of me, and I am of them. They will meet me at my pond. O Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, fasting is a shield, charity extinguishes sins, and prayer is a proof or an evidence. O Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, no meat that grew from unlawful sources will enter Paradise. The fire is more deserving of it. O Ka'b ibn 'Ujrah, people are traveling for sale, either freeing themselves or ruining themselves." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ حَرَسَهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَبِي خُثَيْمٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ سَابِطٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لِكَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ «أَعَاذَكَ اللَّهُ يَا كَعْبُ مِنْ إِمَارَةِ السُّفَهَاءِ» قَالَ وَمَا إِمَارَةُ السُّفَهَاءِ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ أُمَرَاءُ يَكُونُونَ بَعْدِي لَا يَهْدُونَ بِهَدْيِي وَلَا يَسْتَنُّونَ بِسُنَّتِي فَمَنْ صَدَّقَهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَأَعَانَهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَأُولَئِكَ لَيْسُوا مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُمْ وَلَا يَرُدُّونَ عَلَى حَوْضِي وَمَنْ لَمْ يُصَدِّقْهُمْ بِكَذِبِهِمْ وَلَمْ يُعِنْهُمْ عَلَى ظُلْمِهِمْ فَأُولَئِكَ مِنِّي وَأَنَا مِنْهُمْ وَسَيَرِدُونَ عَلَيَّ حَوْضِي يَا كَعْبُ بْنُ عُجْرَةَ الصَّوْمُ جُنَّةٌ وَالصَّدَقَةُ تُطْفِئُ الْخَطِيئَةَ وَالصَّلَاةُ قُرْبَانٌ أَوْ قَالَ بُرْهَانٌ يَا كَعْبُ بْنُ عُجْرَةَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ لَحْمٌ نَبَتَ مِنْ سُحْتٍ أَبَدًا النَّارُ أَوْلَى بِهِ يَا كَعْبُ بْنُ عُجْرَةَ النَّاسُ غَادِيَانِ فَمُبْتَاعٌ نَفْسَهُ فَمُعْتِقُهَا أَوْ قَالَ فَمُوبِقُهَا «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» صحيح – صحيح

While we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the Battle of Tabuk, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was inside a dome made of adhami (a type of stone). As I passed by, he heard my voice and said, "O Awf bin Malik, come in." So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, shall I bring all of it (food) or just a portion?" He said, "No, bring all of it." So I entered and he said, "O Awf, prepare six (people) before the Hour (Day of Judgment)." So I asked, "What are they, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "The death of the Messenger of Allah." Awf started to cry and then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Say one by one." I said, "One." Then he said, "The conquest of Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem)." I said, "Two." He said, "A death will occur among my Ummah (followers) like a sheep being slaughtered." I said, "Three." He said, "They will be given the world (wealth) until a man becomes angry with it." I said, "Four." He said, "And a trial in which no one from the Muslims will be spared except that it enters his home." I said, "Five." He said, "And a truce between you and the Banu Asfar (Romans), where they come to you at 80 destinations, every destination being 12,000 (soldiers), but they will deceive you until a woman carries her child and she is asked (about Islam) but she denies it." Then when the Year of Amwas came, they claimed that Awf bin Malik said to Muadh bin Jabal, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'Prepare six people before the Hour.'" So three of them have already occurred and three remain. Muadh said, "This will happen but five of them are sufficient for you. Whoever experiences anything from them and is able to die, then let him die, so that the curse appears on the pulpits and the wealth of Allah is given based on lies and deception, blood is shed unjustly, family ties are severed, and a person wakes up not knowing whether he is rightly guided or astray." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ عَنْ أَبَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ قَالَ

بَيْنَا نَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي قُبَّةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ إِذْ مَرَرْتُ فَسَمِعَ صَوْتِي فَقَالَ «يَا عَوْفُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ ادْخُلْ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَكُلِّي أَمْ بَعْضِي؟ فَقَالَ «بَلْ كُلُّكَ» قَالَ فَدَخَلْتُ فَقَالَ «يَا عَوْفُ اعْدُدْ سِتًّا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ» فَقُلْتُ مَا هُنَّ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ؟ قَالَ «مَوْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ» فَبَكَى عَوْفٌ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قُلْ إِحْدَى قُلْتُ إِحْدَى ثُمَّ قَالَ وَفَتْحُ بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ قُلِ اثْنَيْنِ قُلْتُ اثْنَيْنِ قَالَ وَمَوْتٌ يَكُونُ فِي أُمَّتِي كَعُقَاصِ الْغَنَمِ قُلْ ثَلَاثٌ قُلْتُ ثَلَاثٌ قَالَ وَتُفْتَحُ لَهُمُ الدُّنْيَا حَتَّى يُعْطَى الرَّجُلُ الْمِائَةَ فَيَسْخَطَهَا قُلْ أَرْبَعٌ قُلْتُ أَرْبَعٌ وَفِتْنَةٌ لَا يَبْقَى أَحَدٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ إِلَّا دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ بَيْتَهُ قُلْ خَمْسٌ قُلْتُ خَمْسٌ «وَهُدْنَةٌ تَكُونُ بَيْنَكُمْ وَبَيْنَ بَنِي الْأَصْفَرِ يَأْتُونَكُمْ عَلَى ثَمَانِينَ غَايَةً كُلُّ غَايَةٍ اثْنَا عَشَرَ أَلْفًا ثُمَّ يَغْدِرُونَ بِكُمْ حَتَّى حَمْلِ امْرَأَةٍ» قَالَ فَلَمَّا كَانَ عَامَ عَمْوَاسَ زَعَمُوا أَنَّ عَوْفَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ قَالَ لِمُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لِي «اعْدُدْ سِتًّا بَيْنَ يَدَيِ السَّاعَةِ» فَقَدْ كَانَ مِنْهُنَّ الثَّلَاثُ وَبَقِيَ الثَّلَاثُ فَقَالَ مُعَاذٌ إِنَّ لِهَذَا مُدَّةً وَلَكِنْ خَمْسٌ أَظْلَلْنَكُمْ مَنْ أَدْرَكَ مِنْهُنَّ شَيْئًا ثُمَّ اسْتَطَاعَ أَنْ يَمُوتَ فَلْيَمُتْ أَنْ يَظْهَرَ التَّلَاعُنُ عَلَى الْمَنَابِرِ وَيُعْطَى مَالُ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَذِبِ وِالْبُهْتَانِ وَسَفْكِ الدِّمَاءِ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَتُقْطَعُ الْأَرْحَامُ وَيُصْبِحُ الْعَبْدُ لَا يَدْرِي أَضَالٌّ هُوَ أَمْ مُهْتِدٍ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِعلى شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "O Abu Dharr, what will you do when people are hungry to the point where you cannot make it from your mosque to your bed, or from your bed to your mosque?" Abu Dharr replied, "Allah and His Messenger know best." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Fast." Then he asked, "What will you do when people die, to the point where your house is full of guests?" Abu Dharr responded, "Allah and His Messenger know best." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Be patient." Then he asked, "What will you do when people come, to the point where the noble ones are covered in blood?" Abu Dharr answered, "Allah and His Messenger know best." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Join whoever you are with." Abu Dharr asked, "What if they come after me?" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "If you fear that the rays of the sword will dazzle you, then throw a piece of your garment on your face. It will bear the sin of both you and him, and you will be among the people of Hellfire." Abu Dharr asked, "Should I not carry a weapon?" The Prophet ﷺ said, "Then you will be part of it." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ إِذَا جَاعَ النَّاسُ حَتَّى لَا تَسْتَطِيعَ أَنْ تَقُومَ مِنْ مَسْجِدِكَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ وَلَا مِنْ فِرَاشِكَ إِلَى مَسْجِدِكَ؟» قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «تَعِفُّ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ إِذَا مَاتَ النَّاسُ حَتَّى يَكُونَ الْبَيْتُ بِالْوَضِيفِ؟» قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «تَصْبِرُ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «كَيْفَ تَصْنَعُ إِذَا أَقْبَلَ النَّاسُ حَتَّى يَغْزُوَ أَصْحَابُ الرُّتَبِ بِالدِّمَاءِ؟» قَالَ قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ قَالَ «تَأْتِي مَنْ أَنْتَ مِنْهُ» قُلْتُ فَإِنْ أُتِيَ عَلَيَّ؟ قَالَ «إِنْ خِفْتَ أَنْ يَبْهَرَكَ شُعَاعُ السَّيْفِ فَأَلْقِ طَائِفَةً مِنْ رِدَائِكَ عَلَى وَجْهِكَ يَبُوءُ بِإِثْمِكَ وَإِثْمِهِ فَيَكُونُ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّارِ» قُلْتُ أَفَلَا أَحْمِلُ السِّلَاحَ؟ قَالَ «إِذًا تُشَارِكُهُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَقَدْ أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ هَمَّامٍ عَنْ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ وَقَدْ زَادَ فِي إِسْنَادِهِ بَيْنَ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ الْمُشَعَّثَ بْنَ طَرِيفٍ بِزِيَادَةٍ فِي الْمَتْنِ وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ أَثْبَتُ مِنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: O AbuDharr. I replied: At thy service and at thy pleasure, Messenger of Allah. He then mentioned the tradition in which he said: What will you do when there the death of the people (in Medina) and a house will reach the value of a slave (that is, a grave will be sold for a slave). I replied: Allah and His Apostle know best. Or he said: What Allah and His Apostle choose for me. He said: You must show endurance. Or he said; you may endure. He then said to me: What will you do, AbuDharr, when you see the Ahjar az-Zayt covered with blood? I replied: What Allah and His Apostle choose for me. He said: You must go to those who are like-minded. I asked: Should I not take my sword and put it on my shoulder? He replied: you would then associate yourself with the people. I then asked: What do you order me to do? You must stay at home. I asked: (What should I do) if people enter my house and find me? He replied: If you are afraid the gleam of the sword may dazzle you, put the end of your garment over your face in order that (the one who kills you) may bear the punishment of your sins and his. Abu Dawud said: No one mentioned al-Mush'ath in the chain of this tradition except Hammad b. Zaid.

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ» قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ قَالَ «كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا أَصَابَ النَّاسَ جُوعٌ تَأْتِي مَسْجِدَكَ فَلَا تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تَرْجِعَ إِلَى فِرَاشِكَ وَتَأْتِي فِرَاشَكَ فَلَا تَسْتَطِيعُ أَنْ تَنْهَضَ إِلَى مَسْجِدِكَ» قُلْتُ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ أَوْ مَا خَارَ اللَّهُ لِي وَرَسُولُهُ قَالَ «عَلَيْكَ بِالْعِفَّةِ» ثُمَّ قَالَ «يَا أَبَا ذَرٍّ» قُلْتُ لَبَّيْكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَسَعْدَيْكَ قَالَ «كَيْفَ أَنْتَ إِذَا رَأَيْتَ أَحْجَارَ الزَّيْتِ قَدْ عُرِّفَتْ بِالدَّمِ؟» قُلْتُ مَا خَارَ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ قَالَ تَلْحَقُ بِمَنْ أَنْتَ مِنْهُ أَوْ قَالَ عَلَيْكَ بِمَنْ أَنْتَ مِنْهُ قُلْتُ أَفَلَا آخُذُ سَيْفِي فَأَضَعُهُ عَلَى عَاتِقِي؟ قَالَ «شَارَكْتَ إِذًا» قُلْتُ فَمَا تَأْمُرُنِي؟ قَالَ «تَلْزَمُ بَيْتَكَ» قُلْتُ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ بَيْتِي؟ قَالَ «فَإِنْ خَشِيتَ أَنْ يَبْهَرَكَ شُعَاعُ السَّيْفِ فَأَلْقِ رِدَاءَكَ عَلَى وَجْهِكَ يَبُوءُ بِإِثْمِهِ وَإِثْمِكَ»

The Prophet ﷺ said: Allah will not fail to detain this community for less than half a day. – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ سَابِقٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا ثَعْلَبَةَ الْخُشَنِيَّ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «لَنْ يُعْجِزَ اللَّهَ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةُ مِنْ نِصْفِ يَوْمٍ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ

"A time will come upon you wherein nobody will be saved except the one who calls upon the drowning supplication." This is a sound narration according to the conditions of Al-Shaykhayn (referring to Al-Bukhari and Muslim), but they did not include it in their conditions. – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الصَّفَّارُ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ أَرُومَةَ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَ

«يَأْتِي عَلَيْكُمْ زَمَانٌ لَا يَنْجُو فِيهِ إِلَّا مَنْ دَعَا دُعَاءَ الْغَرَقِ» هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

We sent the Messenger of Allah ﷺ around the city on foot so that we may plunder, but we returned without gaining anything. Our exhaustion was evident on our faces, so a speaker arose among us and said, "O Allah, do not leave them dependent on me, for I am weak towards them. Do not leave them dependent on themselves, as they may become incapable. Also, do not leave them dependent on people, for then they will have an advantage over them." (Sahih Hadith) – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ عَنْ ضَمْرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ أَنَّ ابْنَ زُغْبٍ الِإِيَادِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ نَزَلَتْ عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَوَالَةَ الْأَزْدِيِّ فَقَالَ لِي وَإِنَّهُ لَنَازِلٌ عَلَيَّ فِي بَيْتِي لَا أُمَّ لَكَ أَمَا يَكْفِي ابْنَ حَوَالَةَ مِائَةٌ يَجْرِي عَلَيْهِ فِي كُلِّ عَامٍ ثُمَّ قَالَ

بَعَثَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَوْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ عَلَى أَقْدَامِنَا لِنَغْنَمَ فَرَجَعْنَا وَلَمْ نَغْنَمْ وَعُرِفَ الْجَهْدُ فِي وُجُوهِنَا فَقَامَ فِينَا خَطِيبًا فَقَالَ «اللَّهُمَّ لَا تَكِلْهُمْ إِلَيَّ فَأَضْعُفَ عَنْهُمْ وَلَا تَكِلْهُمْ إِلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ فَيَعْجِزُوا عَنْهَا وَلَا تَكِلْهُمْ إِلَى النَّاسِ فَيَسْتَأْثِرُوا عَلَيْهِمْ» صحيح – صحيح

That the Messenger of Allah ﷺ went out to them and there were hanging dates and Qanwa (a bag made of camel wool) containing dates, and he had a stick with him. He stabbed the stick into the Qanwa and said, "If Allah had willed, this charity would have given better and more delicious dates than these. Indeed, the one who consumes the dates from this charity on the Day of Resurrection will be satisfied." Then he turned to us and said, "By Allah, O people of Al-Madinah, you will remain in dire need for forty years." We said, "Allah and His Messenger know best." Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Do you know what 'Al-Awaf' means?" We said, "No, we do not know." He said, "Birds and wild animals." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ الْقَنْطَرِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرِيبٍ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَرَجَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَأَقْنَاءُ مُعَلَّقَةٌ وَقِنْوٌ مِنْهَا حَشَفٌ وَمَعَهُ عَصًا فَطَعَنَ بِالْعَصَا فِي الْقِنْوِ وَقَالَ «لَوْ شَاءَ رَبُّ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةِ تَصَدَّقَ بِأَطْيَبَ مِنْهَا إِنَّ صَاحِبَ هَذِهِ الصَّدَقَةِ يَأْكُلُ الْحَشَفَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ «أَمَا وَاللَّهِ يَا أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ لَتَدَعُنَّهَا مُذَلَّلَةً أَرْبَعِينَ عَامًا لِلْعَوَافِي» قُلْنَا اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ ثُمَّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أَتَدْرُونَ مَا الْعَوَافِي؟» قَالُوا لَا قَالَ «الطَّيْرُ وَالسِّبَاعُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَتُتْرَكَنَّ الْمَدِينَةُ عَلَى خَيْرِ مَا كَانَتْ تَأْكُلُهَا الطَّيْرُ وَالسِّبَاعُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ فَلْيَعْلَمْ طَالِبُ هَذَا الْعِلْمِ أَنَّ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنَ الْيَمَانِ صَاحِبُ سِرِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَكَانَ يَقُولُ كَانَ النَّاسُ يَسْأَلُونَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ الْخَيْرِ وَكُنْتُ أَسْأَلُهُ عَنِ الشَّرِّ مَخَافَةَ أَنْ أَقَعَ فِيهِ وَقَدْ يَخْفَى عَلَيَّ إِلَّا عَلِمَ مَجْلِسٍ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ لِبَعْضِ عِلَّةٍ ذَلِكَ الْجِنْسِ وَقَدْ خَفِيَ عَلَى حُذَيْفَةَ الَّذِي يُخْرِجُ أَهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ وَعَلِمَهُ غَيْرُهُ وَقَدِ اتَّفَقَ الشَّيْخَانِ عَلَى حَدِيثِ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ عَدِيِّ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِمَا هُوَ كَائِنٌ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ فَمَا مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا وَقَدْ سَأَلْتُهُ عَنْهُ إِلَّا أَنِّي لَمْ أَسْأَلْهُ مَا يُخْرِجُ أهْلَ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنَ الْمَدِينَةِ على شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "You will fight the people of the Arabian Peninsula and Allah will grant you victory over them. Then, you will fight the Romans and Allah will grant you victory over them. Then, you will fight the Persians and Allah will grant you victory over them. Then, you will fight the Dajjal (the Antichrist) and Allah will grant you victory over him." – Sound Chain per Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا مُكْرَمُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثَنَا الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تُقَاتِلُونَ جَزِيرَةَ الْعَرَبِ فَيَفْتَحُهُمُ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ تُقَاتِلُونَ الرُّومَ فَيَفْتَحُهُمُ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ تُقَاتِلُونَ فَارِسَ فَيَفْتَحُهُمُ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ تُقَاتِلُونَ الدَّجَّالَ فَيَفْتَحُهُ اللَّهُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ على شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

حَدَّثَنِي الْأُسْتَاذُ أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الدُّورِيُّ ثَنَا الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ خَارِجَةَ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ قُطَيْبٍ السَّكُونِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي بَحْرِيَّةَ عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ جَبَلٍ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «الْمَلْحَمَةُ الْعُظْمَى وَفَتْحُ الْقُسْطَنْطِينِيَّةِ وَخُرُوجُ الدَّجَّالِ فِي سَبْعَةِ أَشْهُرٍ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص – سكت عنه

"The day was long for me, so I remembered the person I was speaking to and he started telling me about the Messenger of Allah ﷺ , and I started telling him. He said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'The one who sleeps during times of turmoil is better than the one who lies down, and the one who lies down is better than the one who sits, and the one who sits is better than the one who stands, and the one who stands is better than the one who walks, and the one who walks is better than the one who rides, and the one who rides is better than the one who runs.'" I said, "O Messenger of Allah, when will that be?" He said, "Those are the days of chaos when a person can't trust his companion." I said, "What do you command me to do if I live to witness that time?" He said, "Restrain your hand and tongue, and stay inside your home." I said, "O Messenger of Allah, what if someone enters my home?" He said, "Then enter your room." I said, "What if someone enters my room?" He said, "Then enter your mosque and do this," and he held his right hand over his left forearm and said, "Recite 'My Lord is Allah' until you die doing so." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ حَرَسَهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ وَابِصَةَ الْأَسَدِيِّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ إِنِّي لَبِالْكُوفَةِ فِي دَارِي إِذْ سَمِعْتُ عَلَى بَابِ الدَّارِ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَلِجُ؟ فَقُلْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ السَّلَامُ فَلُجَّ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ إِذَا هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَيَّةُ سَاعَةٍ هَذِهِ لِلزِّيَارَةِ وَذَلِكَ فِي نَحْرِ الظَّهِيرَةِ قَالَ

طَالَ عَلَيَّ النَّهَارُ فَتَذَكَّرْتُ مَنْ أَتَحَدَّثُ إِلَيْهِ فَجَعَلَ يُحَدِّثُنِي عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَأُحَدِّثُهُ قَالَ ثُمَّ أَنْشَأَ يُحَدِّثُنِي فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «تَكُونُ فِتْنَةٌ النَّائِمُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمُضْطَجِعِ وَالْمُضْطَجِعُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَاعِدِ وَالْقَاعِدُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْقَائِمِ وَالْقَائِمُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمَاشِي وَالْمَاشِي خَيْرٌ مِنَ الرَّاكِبِ وَالرَّاكِبُ خَيْرٌ مِنَ الْمُجْرِي» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَتَى ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «ذَلِكَ أَيَّامَ الْهَرْجِ حِينَ لَا يَأْمَنُ الرَّجُلُ جَلِيسَهُ» قُلْتُ فَبِمَ تَأْمُرُنِي إِنْ أَدْرَكْتُ ذَلِكَ الزَّمَانَ؟ قَالَ «اكْفُفْ نَفْسَكَ وَيَدَكَ وَادْخُلْ دَارَكَ» قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ دَارِي؟ قَالَ «فَادْخُلْ بَيْتَكَ» قَالَ قُلْتُ أَفَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ بَيْتِي؟ قَالَ «فَادْخُلْ مَسْجِدَكَ وَاصْنَعْ هَكَذَا وَقَبَضَ بِيَمِينِهِ عَلَى الْكُوعِ وَقُلْ رَبِّيَ اللَّهُ حَتَّى تَمُوتَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

The messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me for a task, then he encountered me on some paths of the city, and then he climbed Uhud and I climbed with him. He faced the city and said something to it, then he said, "May your mother be wailed or may her mother be wailed, a city whose people leave it, where the birds and wild animals eat its fruit and the Antichrist will not enter it, if Allah wills, whenever he wants to enter it, an angel with every corner of its garment will prevent him from entering." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ كَهْمَسُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ عَنْ مِحْجَنِ بْنِ الْأَدْرَعِ قَالَ

بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِحَاجَةٍ ثُمَّ عَارَضَنِي فِي بَعْضِ طُرُقِ الْمَدِينَةِ ثُمَّ صَعِدَ عَلَى أُحُدٍ وَصَعِدْتُ مَعَهُ فَأَقْبَلَ بِوَجْهِهِ نَحْوَ الْمَدِينَةِ فَقَالَ لَهَا قَوْلًا ثُمَّ قَالَ «وَيْلَ أُمِّكَ أَوْ وَيْحَ أُمِّهَا قَرْيَةً يَدَعُهَا أَهْلُهَا أَيْنَعَ مَا يَكُونُ يَأْكُلُهَا عَافِيَةُ الطَّيْرِ وَالسِّبَاعِ يَأْكُلُ ثَمَرَهَا وَلَا يَدْخُلُهَا الدَّجَّالُ إِنْ شَاءَ اللَّهُ كُلَّمَا أَرَادَ دُخُولَهَا تَلَقَّاهُ بِكُلِّ نَقْبٍ مِنْ نِقَابِهَا مَلَكٌ مُصْلِتٌ يَمْنَعُهُ عَنْهَا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

He said about this verse, "And We will surely make them taste the nearer punishment prior to the greater punishment." [Surah As-Sajda 21]. He said, "The afflictions of the world are the Romans, aggression, or smoke." He said, then something interrupted and he said, "He is the Antichrist." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَهْلٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّحْوِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زِيَادِ بْنِ مِهْرَانَ ثَنَا شَاذَانُ الْأَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَزْرَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ الْعُرَنِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْجَزَّارِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى عَنْ أُبَيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ {وَلَنُذِيقَنَّهُمْ مِنَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَدْنَى دُونَ الْعَذَابِ الْأَكْبَرِ} [السجدة 21] قَالَ «مُصِيبَاتُ الدُّنْيَا الرُّومُ وَالْبَطْشَةُ أَوِ الدُّخَانُ» قَالَ ثُمَّ انْقَطَعَ شَيْءٌ فَقَالَ «هُوَ الدَّجَّالُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ سَأَلْتُ أَبَا عَلِيٍّ الْحَافِظَ عَنْ عَزْرَةَ هَذَا فَقَالَ عَزْرَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى وَقَدْ رَوَى شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ عَزْرَةَ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ صحيح – صحيح

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "The Hour will not be established until there are ten signs: the sun rising from the west, the descent of Jesus son of Mary, the emergence of Gog and Magog, the appearance of the Beast, the smoke, the Dajjal (Antichrist), the sinking of the east, the sinking of the west, the sinking of the Arabian Peninsula, and a fire that will drive people to their places of assembly, gathering both humans and jinn." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو زَكَرِيَّا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَبْدِيُّ ثَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ أَبِي عِمْرَانَ الصُّوفِيُّ ثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ الْمُنْتَصِرِ حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو السَّيْبَانِيُّ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ حَدَّثَنِي وَاثِلَةُ بْنُ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى تَكُونَ عَشْرُ آيَاتٍ خَسْفٌ بِالْمَشْرِقِ وَخَسْفٌ بِالْمَغْرِبِ وَخَسْفٌ فِي جَزِيرَةِ الْعَرَبِ وَالدَّجَّالُ وَالدُّخَانُ وَنُزُولُ عِيسَى ابْنِ مَرْيَمَ فَيَأْجُوجَ وَمَأْجُوجَ وَالدَّابَّةُ وَطُلُوعُ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا وَنَارٌ تَخْرُجُ مِنْ قَعْرِ عَدْنَ تَسُوقُ النَّاسَ إِلَى الْمَحْشَرِ تَحْشُرُ الذَّرَّ وَالنَّمْلَ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» صحيح – صحيح

I heard Umar ibn Al-Khattab saying, "I have come to know, by the Lord of the Kaaba, when the Arabs will perish. It is when their ruler is someone who did not accompany the Messenger ﷺ and did not address the matters of ignorance." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ شَبِيبٍ عَنْ غَرْقَدَةَ عَنِ الْمُسْتَظِلِّ بْنِ الْحُصَيْنِ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ يَقُولُ قَدْ عَلِمْتُ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ مَتَى تَهْلِكُ الْعَرَبُ إِذَا وَلِي أَمْرَهُمْ مَنْ لَمْ يَصْحَبِ الرَّسُولَ ﷺ وَلَمْ يُعَالِجْ أَمْرَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» صحيح – صحيح

From the Prophet ﷺ , he said, "The signs come after two hundred (years)."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ السَّعْدِيُّ ثَنَا عَوْنُ بْنُ عُمَارَةَ الْعَبْدِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى عَنْ جَدِّهِ ثُمَامَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «الْآيَاتُ بَعْدَ الْمِأَتَيْنِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ أحسبه موضوعا

al-Ḥasan b. Ḥalīm al-Marwazī > Aḥmad b. Ibrāhīm al-Shadhūrī > Saʿīd b. Hubayrah > Ḥammād b. Salamah > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Abū al-Zubayr > Abū al-Ṭufayl

Huzaifah said, "How are you and what a great temptation it is, in which every wealthy person is concealed?" He said, I said, "By Allah, it is nothing but the provision of a sleeping person that we find here and there, throwing every aim." He said, "Shouldn't you be like Al-Abbas? No knee to ride on and no udder to milk." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَلِيمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الشَّذُورِيُّ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ هُبَيْرَةَ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ قَالَ قَالَ

حُذَيْفَةُ «كَيْفَ أَنْتَ وَفِتْنَةٌ خَيْرُ أَهْلِهَا فِيهَا كُلُّ غَنِيٍّ خَفِيٍّ؟» قَالَ قُلْتُ وَاللَّهِ مَا هُوَ إِلَّا عَطَاءُ أَحَدٍ نَائِمٍ نَطْرَحُ هَاهُنَا وَهَاهُنَا وَنَرْمِي كُلَّ مَرْمَى قَالَ «أَفَلَا تَكُونُ كَابْنِ اللَّبُونِ لَا رَكُوبَةٌ فَتُرْكَبَ وَلَا حَلُوبَةٌ فَتُحْلَبَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

ʿAlī b. ʿĪsá > Musaddad b. Qaṭan al-Qushayrī > ʿUthmān b. Abū Shaybah > Jarīr > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. Rufayʿ > ʿUbaydullāh b. al-Qibṭiyyah

Messenger of Allah, what about him who would be made to accompany this army willy nilly? Thereupon he said: He would be made to sink along with them but he would be raised on the Day of Resurrection on the basis of his intention. Abu Ja'far said. ' This plain, ground means the plain ground of Medina. – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ عِيسَى ثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ قَطَنٍ الْقُشَيْرِيُّ ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ رُفَيْعٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْقِبْطِيَّةِ قَالَ

دَخَلَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي رَبِيعَةَ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ صَفْوَانَ وَأَنَا مَعَهُمَا عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَسَأَلَاهَا عَنِ الْجَيْشِ الَّذِي يُخْسَفُ بِهِ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ فِي أَيَّامِ ابْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ فَقَالَتْ أُمُّ سَلَمَةَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «يَعُوذُ عَائِذٌ بِالْحَرَمِ فَيُبْعَثُ إِلَيْهِ بِجَيْشٍ فَإِذَا كَانُوا بِبَيْدَاءَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ يُخْسَفُ بِهِمْ» فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ كَيْفَ بِمَنْ يَخْرُجُ كَارِهًا؟ قَالَ «يُخْسَفُ بِهِ مَعَهُمْ وَلَكِنَّهُ يُبْعَثُ عَلَى نِيَّتِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» ثُمَّ قَالَتْ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَعُوذُ عَائِذٌ بِالْبَيْتِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

An invading army will come toward this House until when they are in Al-Baida, the middle of them will be swallowed up by the earth. The first of them will call out to the last of them, and they will be wallowed up, until there is no one left of them except a fugitive who will tell of what happened to them." A man (hearing the narration) said: "I bear witness that you did not attribute a lie to your grandfather, and I bear witness that your grandfather did not attribute a lie to Hafsah, and I bear witness that Hafsh, did not attribute a lie to the Prophet. – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ شَيْبَانَ الرَّمْلِيُّ ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ صَفْوَانَ سَمِعَ جَدَّهُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ صَفْوَانَ يَقُولُ حَدَّثَتْنِي حَفْصَةُ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَيَؤُمَّنَّ هَذَا الْبَيْتَ جَيْشٌ يَغْزُونَهُ حَتَّى إِذَا كَانُوا بِبَيْدَاءَ مِنَ الْأَرْضِ خُسِفَ بِأَوْسَطِهِمْ فَيُنَادُوا أَوَّلُهُمْ آخِرُهُمْ فَيُخْسَفُ بِهِمْ خَسٍفًا لَا يَنْجُو إِلَّا الشَّرِيدُ الَّذِي يُخْبِرُ عَنْهُمْ» فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ أَشْهَدُ عَلَيْكَ مَا كَذَبْتَ عَلَى جَدِّكَ وَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى جَدِّكَ أَنَّهُ مَا كَذَبَ عَلَى حَفْصَةَ وَأَشْهَدُ عَلَى حَفْصَةَ أَنَّهَا لَمْ تَكْذِبْ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخْرِجَاهُ» صحيح – صحيح
