"I approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the early days of his prophethood when he was in Makkah and he was at that time hiding. I asked, 'Who are you?' He replied, 'I am a prophet.' I asked, 'What is a prophet?' He said, 'I am the Messenger of Allah.' I asked, 'What has Allah sent you with?' He said, 'Allah has sent me to worship Him alone, to break the idols, and to maintain good relations with relatives.'" – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ الْفَارِسِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو يُوسُفَ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثَنَا أَبُو تَوْبَةَ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ الْحَلَبِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُهَاجِرِ عَنِ الْعَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبَسَةَ قَالَ

أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي أَوَّلِ مَا بُعِثَ وَهُوَ بِمَكَّةَ وَهُوَ حِينَئِذٍ مُسْتَخْفٍ فَقُلْتُ مَا أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ «أَنَا نَبِيٌّ» قُلْتُ وَمَا النَّبِيُّ؟ قَالَ «رَسُولُ اللَّهِ» قُلْتُ بِمَا أَرْسَلَكَ؟ قَالَ «بِأَنْ يُعْبَدَ اللَّهُ وَتُكْسَرَ الْأَوْثَانُ وَتُوصَلَ الْأَرْحَامُ بِالْبِرِّ وَالصِّلَةِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

From his father Rifaa'ah ibn Rafee', who witnessed the Battle of Badr with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : He (the Prophet) and his cousin Mu'adh ibn 'Afra'ah went out until they reached Makkah. When they descended from Thaniyyah, they saw a man under a tree. The Prophet said, "Let us approach this man, so that we may entrust him with our belongings and make Tawaf around the Kaaba." We greeted him with the pre-Islamic form of greeting and he responded to us with the Islamic greeting. We had heard of the Prophet ﷺ , so we denied it and asked him, "Who are you?" He said, "Come down." We descended and said, "Where is the man who claims and says what he says?" He said, "I am him." So I said, "Present yourself to me." He presented Islam to us and said, "Who created the heavens, the earth, and the mountains?" We said, "Allah created them." He said, "Then who created you?" We said, "Allah created us." He said, "Then who created these idols that you worship?" We said, "We made them ourselves." He said, "The Creator is more deserving of worship than the created. You are more deserving of being worshiped, as you made them, but Allah is more deserving of being worshiped than something you made." I invite you to worship Allah alone, testify that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and I am the Messenger of Allah. I also invite you to maintain kinship ties and refrain from oppression and transgression." We said, "By Allah, if what you are calling us to is false, then it would be among the noblest of matters and the best of characters." So we entrusted him with our belongings until we could go to the Kaaba. Mu'adh ibn 'Afra'ah sat with him and said, "I went to the Kaaba, performed Tawaf, and came out with seven cups. I gave him one of them and said, 'O Allah, if what Muhammad is calling to is true, then remove his cup seven times.'" He struck it seven times and each time, it emitted a sound. So I shouted, 'I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah.' People gathered around me saying, 'This man is insane, he struck the cup seven times and it still made a sound.' I said, 'No, by Allah, he is a believer.' Then I went up to a high place in Makkah, and when Mu'adh saw me, he said, 'Indeed, Rifaa'ah has come with a face that nothing has ever harmed before.' So I came to him, believed in him, and Allah's Messenger ﷺ taught us Surah Yusuf. We recited, "In the name of your Lord who created" until we reached the verse, "We will return to our family." When we were in 'Aqiq, Mu'adh said, 'I have never spent a night away from my family before, so let me stay here until morning.' So I spent the night with him and I had never done what I did before. Rifaa'ah would always present himself to his people after returning from a journey.

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزَّاهِدُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو إِسْمَاعِيلَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمَدَنِيُّ الشَّجَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ عَبْدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى عَنْ مُعَاذِ بْنِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ

عَنْ أَبِيهِ رِفَاعَةَ بْنِ رَافِعٍ وَكَانَ قَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّهُ خَرَجَ وَابْنُ خَالَتِهِ مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَفْرَاءَ حَتَّى قَدِمَا مَكَّةَ فَلَمَّا هَبِطَا مِنَ الثَّنِيَّةِ رَأَيَا رَجُلًا تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ قَالَ وَهَذَا قَبْلَ خُرُوجِ السِّتَّةِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّينَ قَالَ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْنَاهُ كَلَّمْنَاهُ فَقُلْنَا نَأْتِي هَذَا الرَّجُلَ نَسْتَوْدِعُهُ حَتَّى نَطُوفَ بِالْبَيْتِ فَسَلَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ تَسْلِيمَ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَرَدَّ عَلَيْنَا بِسَلَامٍ أَهْلِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَقَدْ سَمِعْنَا بِالنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَأَنْكَرْنَا فَقُلْنَا مَنْ أَنْتَ؟ قَالَ «انْزِلُوا» فَنَزَلْنَا فَقُلْنَا أَيْنَ الرَّجُلُ الَّذِي يَدَّعِي وَيَقُولُ مَا يَقُولُ؟ فَقَالَ «أَنَا» فَقُلْتُ فَاعْرِضْ عَلَيَّ فَعَرَضَ عَلَيْنَا الْإِسْلَامَ وَقَالَ «مَنْ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ وَالْجِبَالَ؟» قُلْنَا خَلَقَهُنَّ اللَّهُ قَالَ «فَمَنْ خَلَقَكُمْ؟» قُلْنَا اللَّهُ قَالَ «فَمَنَ عَمِلَ هَذِهِ الْأَصْنَامَ الَّتِي تَعْبُدُونَهَا؟» قُلْنَا نَحْنُ قَالَ «فَالْخَالِقُ أَحَقُّ بِالْعِبَادَةِ أَمِ الْمَخْلُوقِ فَأَنْتُمْ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَعْبُدَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ عَمِلْتُمُوهَا وَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ تَعْبُدُوهُ مِنْ شَيْءٍ عَمِلْتُمُوهُ وَأَنَا أَدْعُو إِلَى عِبَادَةِ اللَّهِ وَشَهَادَةِ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنِّي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ وَصِلَةِ الرَّحِمِ وَتَرْكِ الْعُدْوَانِ بِغَصْبِ النَّاسِ» قُلْنَا لَا وَاللَّهِ لَوْ كَانَ الَّذِي تَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ بَاطِلًا لَكَانَ مِنْ مَعَالِي الْأُمُورِ وَمَحَاسِنِ الْأَخْلَاقِ فَأَمْسِكْ رَاحِلَتَنَا حَتَّى نَأْتِيَ بِالْبَيْتِ فَجَلَسَ عِنْدَهُ مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَفْرَاءَ قَالَ فَجِئْتُ الْبَيْتَ فَطُفْتُ وَأَخْرَجْتُ سَبْعَةَ أَقْدَاحٍ فَجَعَلْتُ لَهُ مِنْهَا قَدَحًا فَاسْتَقْبَلْتُ الْبَيْتَ فَقُلْتُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنْ كَانَ مَا يَدْعُو إِلَيْهِ مُحَمَّدٌ حَقًّا فَأَخْرِجْ قَدَحَهُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ فَضَرَبْتُ بِهَا فَخَرَجَ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ فَصَحَّتْ أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَأَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ فَاجْتَمَعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيَّ وَقَالُوا مَجْنُونٌ رَجُلٌ صَبَأَ قُلْتُ بَلْ رَجُلٌ مُؤْمِنٌ ثُمَّ جِئْتُ إِلَى أَعْلَى مَكَّةَ فَلَمَّا رَآنِي مُعَاذٌ قَالَ لَقَدْ جَاءَ رِفَاعَةُ بِوَجْهٍ مَا ذَهَبَ بِمِثْلِهِ فَجِئْتُ وَآمَنْتُ وَعَلَّمَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ سُورَةَ يُوسُفَ وَاقْرَأْ بِسْمِ رَبِّكَ الَّذِي خَلَقَ ثُمَّ خَرَجْنَا رَاجِعِينَ إِلَى الْمَدِينَةِ فَلَمَّا كُنَّا بِالْعَقِيقِ قَالَ مُعَاذُ إِنِّي لَمْ أَطْرُقْ أَهْلِي لَيْلًا قَطُّ فَبِتْ بِنَا حَتَّى نُصْبِحَ فَقُلْتُ أَبِيتُ وَمَعِي مَا مَعِي مِنَ الْخَبَرِ مَا كُنْتُ لِأَفْعَلَ وَكَانَ رِفَاعَةُ إِذَا خَرَجَ سَفَرًا ثُمَّ قَدِمَ عَرَضَ قَوْمُهُ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» يحيى الشجري صاحب مناكير

Messenger of Allah said: "They said: 'O Messenger of Allah, whom should I treat kindly?' He said: 'Your mother.' He said: 'Then who?' He said :'Your mother." He said: 'Then who?' He said: 'Your father'. He said : 'Then who?' He said: 'The next closest and the next closest.'" – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ وَثَنًا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامِ بْنِ مَلَّاسٍ النُّمَيْرِيُّ ثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ وَثَنًا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ وَمَكِّيُّ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالُوا ثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ أَبَرُّ؟ قَالَ «أُمَّكَ» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ «أُمَّكَ» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ «أَبَاكَ» قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَبَ فَالْأَقْرَبَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ عَلَى شَرْطِهِمَا فِي حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنْ جَدِّهِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ مَنْ أَبَرُّ؟ قَالَ «أُمَّكَ» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ «أُمَّكَ» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ «أُمَّكَ» قُلْتُ ثُمَّ مَنْ؟ قَالَ «ثُمَّ أَبَاكَ ثُمَّ الْأَقْرَبَ فَالْأَقْرَبَ» قَالَ الْحَاكِمُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى «ثُمَّ وَجَدْنَا لِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ شواهدَ فَمِنْهَا» صحيح – صحيح

"I enjoin each one to honor his mother,I enjoin each one to honor his mother,I enjoin each one to honor his mother(three times), I enjoin each one to honor his guardian who is taking care of him, even if he is causing him some annoyance."

مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ النَّضْرِ ثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثَنَا زَائِدَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ خِدَاشِ بْنِ سَلَامَةَ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «أُوصِي امْرَأً بِأُمِّهِ أُوصِي امْرَأً بِأُمِّهِ وَأُوصِي امْرَأً بِأَبِيهِ وَأُوصِي امْرَأً بِمَوْلَاهُ الَّذِي يَلِيهِ وَإِنْ كَانَ عَلَيْهِ فِيهِ أَذًى يُؤْذِيهِ» وَمِنْهَا له شواهد

I asked, O Messenger of Allah, who has the greatest right upon a woman? He replied, "Her husband." I asked, then who has the greatest right upon a man? He replied, "His mother." And from her

مَا حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ السَّكُونِيِّ بِالْكُوفَةِ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ثَنَا مِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَيُّ النَّاسِ أَعْظَمُ حَقًّا عَلَى الْمَرْأَةِ؟ قَالَ «زَوْجُهَا» قُلْتُ فَأَيُّ النَّاسِ أَعْظَمُ حَقًّا عَلَى الرَّجُلِ؟ قَالَ «أُمُّهُ» وَمِنْهَا

I reached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and heard him saying, "Be good to your mother, father, sister, and brother, and then those closest to you, those closest to you." And among them

مَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَهَّابِ أَنْبَأَ جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَوْنٍ أَنْبَأَ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ عَنْ إِيَادِ بْنِ لَقِيطٍ عَنْ أَبِي رِمْثَةَ قَالَ

انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ «بَرَّ أُمَّكَ وَأَبَاكَ وَأُخْتَكَ وَأَخَاكَ ثُمَّ أَدْنَاكَ أَدْنَاكَ» وَمِنْهَا

From the Prophet ﷺ, he said, "Indeed, Allah Almighty advises you to be kind to your relatives, even those who are closest to you." Isma'il ibn 'Ayyash, one of the Imams of the people of Sham, was only punished for his poor memorization. And from it, we understand that Isma'il was only punished for his poor memorization.

مَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثَنَا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ عَنْ بَحِيرِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ عَنِ الْمِقْدَامِ بْنِ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يُوصِيكُمْ بِالْأَقْرَبِ فَالْأَقْرَبِ» إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ أَحَدُ أَئِمَّةِ أَهْلِ الشَّامِ إِنَّمَا نَقَمَ عَلَيْهِ سُوءُ الْحِفْظِ فَقَطْ وَمِنْهَا إنما نقم على إسماعيل سوء الحفظ فقط

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I dreamt and saw myself in Paradise, and I heard the voice of a reciter. So I asked, 'Who is this?' They said, 'Haritha bin Nu'man.' Then the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'This is righteousness.' And he was the kindest to his mother among the people." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

مَا أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّغَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ نِمْتُ فَرَأَيْتُنِي فِي الْجَنَّةِ فَسَمِعْتُ صَوْتَ قَارِئٍ يَقْرَأُ فَقُلْتُ مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالُوا حَارِثَةُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانَ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كَذَلِكَ الْبِرُّ» وَكَانَ أَبَرَّ النَّاسِ بِأُمِّهِ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ» قَالَ ابْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ وَغَيْرُهُ قَالُوا فِيهِ دَخَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْجَنَّةَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرُوا فِيهِ النَّوْمَ وَلَا بِرَّ أُمِّهِ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

Bakr

"That Jaheemah came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, 'I wanted to participate in a battle and I have come to seek your advice.' The Prophet responded, 'Do you still have your mother?' Jaheemah replied, 'Yes.' The Prophet then advised, 'Stay with her, for Paradise is beneath her feet.'" – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ بِمَرْوَ ثَنَا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ح وَثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الْمُجَوِّزُ ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ جَاهِمَةَ

أَنَّ جَاهِمَةَ أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي أَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَغْزُوَ وَجِئْتُ أَسْتَشِيرُكَ فَقَالَ «أَلَكَ وَالِدَةٌ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ «اذْهَبْ فَالْزَمْهَا فَإِنَّ الْجَنَّةَ عِنْدَ رِجْلَيْهَا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The pleasure of the Lord is in the pleasure of the parents, and the anger of the Lord is in the anger of the parents." This is an authentic hadith according to the conditions of Muslim and they did not exclude it on the condition of Muslim. – Sound Chain per Muslim

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «رِضَا الرَّبِّ فِي رِضَا الْوَالِدِ وَسَخِطُ الرَّبِّ فِي سَخَطِ الْوَالِدِ» هَذَا حَدِيثُ صَحِيحُ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ إِنِّي جِئْتُ أُبَايِعُكَ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ وَتَرَكْتُ أَبَوَيَّ يَبْكِيَانِ قَالَ «فَارْجِعْ إِلَيْهِمَا فَأَضْحِكْهُمَا كَمَا أَبْكَيْتَهُمَا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

A man got married, and his mother hated that. So he came to ask Abu Darda, who said, "Divorce the woman and obey your mother. For I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saying: 'The mother is the best gate of Paradise, so keep it or lose it.'" Shu'bah narrated it from 'Ata' ibn As-Sa'ib, explaining it in the authentic interpretation. – Sound

أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ

تَزَوَّجَ رَجُلٌ فَكَرِهَتْ أُمُّهُ ذَلِكَ فَجَاءَ يَسْأَلُ أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ فَقَالَ طَلِّقِ الْمَرْأَةَ وَأَطِعْ أُمُّكَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْوَالِدَةُ أَوْسَطُ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ فَأَضِعْ ذَلِكَ أَو احْفَظْهُ» رَوَاهُ شُعْبَةُ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ مُفَسَّرًا بِالشَّرْحِصحيح – صحيح

"To divorce his wife and make one thousand freed slaves or one hundred freed slaves, and he does not have a sacrifice if he does so. Then he went to Abu Darda and mentioned that he performed the Duha prayer, then he asked him. He said, 'Fulfill your vow and be dutiful to your parents, for I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saying, 'The parents are the middle door of Paradise, so if you wish, protect this door or leave it.'" – Sound

أَنْ يُطَلِّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ فَجَعَلَ أَلْفَ مُحَرَّرٍ أَوْ مِائَةَ مُحَرَّرٍ وَمَا لَهُ هَدْيًا إِنْ فَعَلَ فَأَتَى أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءَ فَذَكَرَ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى الضُّحَى ثُمَّ سَأَلَهُ فَقَالَ أَوْفِ بِنَذْرِكَ وَبَرَّ وَالِدَيْكَ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «الْوَالِدُ أَوْسَطُ أَبْوَابِ الْجَنَّةِ فَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَحَافِظْ عَلَى الْبَابِ أَوِ اتْرُكْ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

"There was a woman whom I admired and Umar disliked her, so he told me to divorce her, but I refused. Umar then went to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'O Messenger of Allah, Abdullah bin Umar has a woman whom he has grown to dislike, and I ordered him to divorce her, but he refused.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, 'O Abdullah bin Umar, divorce your wife and obey your father.' So, I divorced her." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَلِيمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُوَجِّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ حَدَّثَنِي خَالِي الْحَارِثُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ تُعْجِبُنِي وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا فَقَالَ لِي طَلِّقْهَا فَأَبَيْتُ فَأَتَى عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ امْرَأَةً قَدْ كَرِهْتُهَا فَأَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَى فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ طَلِّقِ امْرَأَتَكَ وَأَطِعْ أَبَاكَ» قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ فَطَلَّقْتُهَا هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُعلى شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

"That you have knowledge from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that you do not disclose openly?" He said, "Yes." He said, "Show me the sword." So I gave him the sword, and he extracted from it a paper containing a writing. He said, "This is what I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ : 'Allah curses whoever slaughters for other than Allah, and whoever takes the lead of other than his own people, and Allah curses the one who disobeys his parents, and Allah curses the one who diminishes the minarets of the earth.'" Adh-Dhahabi remained silent about it in his summarization. – Remains Silent

أَنَّ عِنْدَكَ عِلْمًا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لَا تُظْهِرُهُ قَالَ دُونَ النَّاسِ؟ قَالَ نَعَمْ قَالَ أَرِنِي السَّيْفَ فَأَعْطَيْتُهُ السَّيْفَ فَاسْتَخْرَجَ مِنْهُ صَحِيفَةً فِيهَا كِتَابٌ قَالَ هَذَا مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَعَنَ اللَّهُ مَنْ ذَبَحَ لِغَيْرِ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ تَوَلَّى غَيْرَ مَوَالِيهِ وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ الْعَاقَّ لِوَالِدَيْهِ وَلَعَنَ اللَّهُ مُنْتَقِصَ مَنَارِ الْأَرْضِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص – سكت عنه

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Come toward the pulpit," and we all came. When he climbed a step, he said, "Āmīn" , and when he climbed the second step he said, "Āmīn" , and when he climbed the third step he said, "Āmīn.” When he came down ˹after the sermon˺ we asked, "O Messenger of Allah, we heard something from you that we had not heard before." He said, "Jibrīl ﷺ ˹came˺ to me and said, (1) 'Away with the one who found Ramadan and he was not forgiven.'", and I said, 'Āmīn.'" "When I climbed the second ˹step˺ he said, 'Away with the one to him when I (Allah) am mentioned and he does not send ṣalāh upon you.'" "When I climbed the third ˹step˺ he said, 'Away with the one who finds his parents in old age or ˹at least˺ one of them and they do not become ˹a means˺ for him to enter Jannah.' And I said, 'Āmīn.'" This ḥadīth has an authentic chain but they (Bukhārī and Muslim) did not collect it. – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ وَإِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عِصْمَةَ قَالَا ثَنَا السَّرِيُّ عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «احْضَرُوا الْمِنْبَرَ» فَحَضَرْنَا فَلَمَّا ارْتَقَى دَرَجَةً قَالَ «آمِينَ» ، فَلَمَّا ارْتَقَى الدَّرَجَةَ الثَّانِيَةَ قَالَ «آمِينَ» فَلَمَّا ارْتَقَى الدَّرَجَةَ الثَّالِثَةَ قَالَ «آمِينَ» فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ قُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَقَدْ سَمِعْنَا مِنْكَ الْيَوْمَ شَيْئًا مَا كُنَّا نَسْمَعُهُ۔ قَالَ: «إِنَّ جِبْرِيلَ ﷺ عَرَضَ لِي فَقَالَ: بُعْدًا لِمَنْ أَدْرَكَ رَمَضَانَ فَلَمْ يَغْفَرْ لَهُ. قُلْتُ: آمِينَ». «فَلَمَّا رَقِيتُ الثَّانِيَةَ قَالَ: بُعْدًا لِمَنْ ذُكِرْتُ عِنْدَهُ فَلَمْ يُصَلِّ عَلَيْكَ. قُلْتُ: آمِينَ» . «فَلَمَّا رَقِيتُ الثَّالِثَةَ قَالَ: بُعْدًا لِمَنْ أَدْرَكَ أَبَوَاهُ الْكِبَرَ عِنْدَهُ أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا فَلَمْ يُدْخِلَاهُ الْجَنَّةَ. قُلْتُ: آمِينَ» . هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever is kind and dutiful to his parents, good tidings to him, may Allah increase his lifespan." – Sound

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ بَرَّ وَالِدَيْهِ طُوبَى لَهُ زَادَ اللَّهُ فِي عُمْرِهِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Show forgiveness to the women among the people, and your women will be forgiven. Show kindness to your fathers, and your children will be kind to you. And whoever seeks reconciliation with his brother while kneeling, let him accept it from him, whether he was wronged or wronged the other. But if he does not accept it, then I am not liable for his share in Paradise.'" – Weak

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الصَّرَّافُ قَالَا ثَنَا سُوَيْدٌ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «عِفُّوا عَنْ نِسَاءِ النَّاسِ تَعِفَّ نِسَاؤُكُمْ وَبَرُّوا آبَاءَكُمْ تَبَرَّكُمْ أَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَمَنْ أَتَاهُ أَخُوهُ مُتَنَصِّلًا فَلْيَقْبَلْ ذَلِكَ مِنْهُ مُحِقًّا كَانَ أَوْ مُبْطِلًا فَإِنْ لَمْ يَفْعَلْ لَمْ يَرِدْ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بل سويد ضعيف – ضعيف

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Respect your fathers, you will be blessed with the respect of your children. Forgive the women of the people, your women will be forgiven. And whoever is entrusted with a favor, but does not accept it, will not be granted access to my Fountain."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ الْحَافِظُ وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الدَّقَّاقُ الْهَمْدَانِيَّانِ بِهَمْدَانَ قَالَا ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ دِيزِيلَ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ الرِّفَاعِيُّ ثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «بَرُّوا آبَاءَكُمْ تَبَرَّكُمْ أَبْنَاؤُكُمْ وَعِفِّوا عَنْ نِسَاءِ النَّاسِ تَعِفَّ نِسَاؤُكُمْ وَمَنْ تُنُصِّلَ إِلَيْهِ فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْ لَمْ يَرِدْ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ»

While we were with the Messenger of Allah! ﷺ a man of Banu Salmah came to Him and said: Messenger of Allah is there any kindness left that I can do to my parents after their death? He replied: Yes, you can invoke blessings on them, forgiveness for them, carry out their final instructions after their death, join ties of relationship which are dependent on them, and honour their friends. – Sound

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا أُسَيْدٍ مَالِكَ بْنَ رَبِيعَةَ السَّاعِدِيَّ يَقُولُ بَيْنَمَا نَحْنُ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذْ جَاءَهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي سَلَمَةَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ هَلْ بَقِيَ مِنْ بِرِّ أَبَوَيَّ شَيْءٌ أَبَرُّهُمَا بِهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوْتِهِمَا؟ قَالَ «نَعَمُ الصَّلَاةُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَالِاسْتِغْفَارُ لَهُمَا وَإِنْفَاذُ عُهُودِهِمَا وَإِكْرَامُ صَدِيقِهِمَا وَصِلَةُ الرَّحِمِ الَّذِي لَا رَحِمَ لَكَ إِلَّا مِنْ قِبَلِهِمَا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

The Prophet ﷺ came and a man said, "O Messenger of Allah, I have committed many sins. Do I have a chance for repentance?" He asked him, "Are your parents alive?" He answered, "No." Then he asked him, "Do you have an aunt?" He replied, "Yes, I do." So the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Then be good to her." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ الزَّاهِدُ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ جُنَيْدٍ ثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْعَسْكَرِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُوقَةَ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

أَتَى النَّبِيَّ ﷺ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنِّي أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا كَثِيرًا فَهَلْ لِي مِنْ تَوْبَةٍ؟ قَالَ «أَلَكَ وَالِدَانِ؟» قَالَ لَا قَالَ «فَلَكَ خَالَةٌ؟» قَالَ نَعَمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَبَرَّهَا إِذًا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

She said, "A woman from the people of Dumah Al-Jandal came to me seeking the Messenger of Allah ﷺ after his death, asking about something she had done regarding the matter of sorcerers but did not act upon it. A'ishah said to Urwah, "O son of my sister, I saw her crying when she could not find the Messenger of Allah ﷺ to cure her. I felt sorry for her as she said, 'I fear that I have perished.' I had a husband who was absent from me, so an old woman entered upon me and I complained to her. She said, 'If you do what I command you, perhaps he will come to you.' When the night came, she brought me two black dogs. I rode one and the other rode by my side. I did not stay in any one place until we stopped at Babylon and I saw two men hanging by their feet and said, 'What brought you here?' I said, 'I want to learn magic.' They said, 'We are only a trial, so do not disbelieve and go back to your land.' I refused and they said, 'Go to that oven and urinate in it.' So, I went and was terrified, and I did not do anything. I returned to them and they said, 'Did you do it?' I said, 'Yes.' They said, 'Did you see anything?' I said, 'I did not see anything.' They said, 'You lied, you did not do it. Go back to your land and do not disbelieve, for you are in control of your matter.' I refused and they said, 'Go to that oven and urinate in it.' So, I went and urinated in it. Then, I saw a knight coming out of me with iron armor until he ascended into the sky and disappeared from my sight. I went back to them and said, 'I have done it.' They said, 'What did you see?' I said, 'I saw a knight coming out of me with iron armor until he ascended into the sky and disappeared from my sight.' They said, 'You spoke the truth. Your faith has come out of you. Go.' When I went to the woman, Allah, by Allah, I did not know anything and they did not say anything to me. They said, 'Yes, if you desire anything, it will be granted to you. Take this wheat and sow it.' So, I sowed it and said, 'Grow.' It grew. I said, 'Harvest.' I harvested it. I said, 'Thresh.' I threshed it. I said, 'Grind.' I ground it. I said, 'Bake.' I baked it. When I realized that I did not want anything, it fell into my hands, and I regretted it, by Allah, O mother of the believers, I have never done anything and I will never do it again. So, I asked the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about the cause of the death of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while they were present with him at that time, but they did not know what to say to her. They were all anxious and afraid to give her a verdict based on something they did not know, except that they said, 'If your parents were alive or one of them, it would be sufficient for you.'" – Sound

أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ «قَدِمَتِ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ دُومَةِ الْجَنْدَلِ عَلَيَّ جَاءَتْ تَبْتَغِي رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهِ حَدَاثَةَ ذَلِكَ تَسْأَلُهُ عَنْ شَيْءٍ دَخَلَتْ فِيهِ مِنْ أَمْرِ السَّحَرَةِ لَمْ تَعْمَلْ بِهِ» قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ لِعُرْوَةَ يَا ابْنَ أُخْتِي فَرَأَيْتُهَا تَبْكِي حِينَ لَمْ تَجِدْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَيَشْفِيَهَا حَتَّى إِنِّي لَأَرْحَمُهَا وَهِيَ تَقُولُ إِنِّي لَأَخَافُ أَنْ أَكُونَ قَدْ هَلَكْتُ كَانَ لِي زَوْجٌ فَغَابَ عَنِّي فَدَخَلَتْ عَلَيَّ عَجُوزٌ فَشَكَوْتُ إِلَيْهَا فَقَالَتْ إِنْ فَعَلْتِ مَا آمُرُكِ فَلَعَلَّهُ يَأْتِيكِ فَلَمَّا أَنْ كَانَ اللَّيْلُ جَاءَتْنِي بِكَلْبَيْنِ أَسْوَدَيْنِ فَرَكِبْتُ أَحَدَهُمَا وَرَكِبَتِ الْآخَرَ فَلَمْ يَكُنْ مُكْثِي حَتَّى وَقَفْنَا بِبَابِلَ فَإِذَا أَنَا بِرَجُلَيْنِ مُعَلَّقَيْنِ بِأَرْجُلِهِمَا فَقَالَا مَا جَاءَ بِكِ؟ فَقُلْتُ أَتَعَلَّمُ السِّحْرَ فَقَالَا إِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرِي وَارْجِعِي فَأَبَيْتُ وَقُلْتُ لَا قَالَا فَاذْهَبِي إِلَى ذَلِكَ التَّنُّورِ فَبُولِي فِيهِ فَذَهَبْتُ وَفَزِعْتُ فَلَمْ أَفْعَلْ فَرَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهِمَا فَقَالَا لِي فَعَلْتِ؟ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ قَالَا هَلْ رَأَيْتِ شَيْئًا؟ فَقُلْتُ لَمْ أَرَ شَيْئًا فَقَالَا لَمْ تَفْعَلِي ارْجِعِي إِلَى بِلَادِكِ وَلَا تَكْفُرِي فَأَبَيْتُ فَقَالَا اذْهَبِي إِلَى ذَلِكَ التَّنُّورِ فَبُولِي فِيهِ فَذَهَبْتُ فَاقْشَعَرَّ جِلْدِي وَخِفْتُ ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ إِلَيْهِمَا فَقَالَا مَا رَأَيْتِ؟ فَقُلْتُ لَمْ أَرَ شَيْئًا فَقَالَا كَذَبْتِ لَمْ تَفْعَلِي ارْجِعِي إِلَى بِلَادِكِ وَلَا تَكْفُرِي فَإِنَّكِ عَلَى رَأْسِ أَمْرِكِ فَأَبَيْتُ فَقَالَا اذْهَبِي إِلَى ذَلِكَ التَّنُّورِ فَبُولِي فِيهِ فَذَهَبْتُ فَبُلْتُ فِيهِ فَرَأَيْتُ فَارِسًا مُتَقَنِّعًا بِحَدِيدٍ خَرَجَ مِنِّي حَتَّى ذَهَبَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَغَابَ عَنِّي حَتَّى مَا أُرَاهُ فَأَتَيْتُهُمَا فَقُلْتُ قَدْ فَعَلْتُ فَقَالَا فَمَا رَأَيْتِ؟ قُلْتُ رَأَيْتُ فَارِسًا مُتَقَنِّعًا بِحَدِيدٍ خَرَجَ مِنِّي فَذَهَبَ فِي السَّمَاءِ فَغَابَ عَنِّي حَتَّى مَا أَرَى شَيْئًا قَالَا صَدَقْتِ ذَلِكَ إِيمَانُكِ خَرَجَ مِنْكِ اذْهَبِي فَقُلْتُ لِلْمَرْأَةِ وَاللَّهِ مَا أَعْلَمُ شَيْئًا وَمَا قَالَا لِي شَيْئًا فَقَالَا بَلَى إِنْ تُرِيدِينَ شَيْئًا إِلَّا كَانَ خُذِي هَذَا الْقَمْحَ فَابْذُرِي فَبَذَرْتُ فَقُلْتُ اطْلُعِي فَطَلَعَتْ وَقُلْتُ أَحْقِلِي فَحَقَلَتْ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ أَفْرِخِي فَأَفْرَخَتْ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ إِيبِسِي فَيَبِسَتْ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ اطْحَنِي فَطَحَنَتْ ثُمَّ قُلْتُ اخْبِزِي فَخَبَزَتْ فَلَمَّا رَأَيْتُ أَنِّي لَا أُرِيدُ شَيْئًا إِلَّا كَانَ سَقَطَ فِي يَدِي وَنَدِمْتُ وَاللَّهِ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ مَا فَعَلْتُ شَيْئًا قَطُّ وَلَا أَفْعَلُهُ أَبَدًا فَسَأَلْتُ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ حَدَاثَةَ وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَهُمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ مُتَوَافِرُونَ فَمَا دَرَوْا مَا يَقُولُونَ لَهَا وَكُلُّهُمْ هَابَ وَخَافَ أَنْ يُفْتِيَهَا بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ إِلَّا أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا لَوْ كَانَ أَبَوَاكِ حَيَّيْنِ أَوْ أَحَدُهُمَا لَكَانَا يَكْفِيَانِكِ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَالْغَرَضُ فِي إِخْرَاجِهِ فِي هَذَا الْمَوْضِعِ إِجْمَاعُ الصَّحَابَةِ حِدْثَانُ وَفَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنَّ الْأَبَوَيْنِ يَكْفِيَانِهَا» صحيح – صحيح

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "All sins are withheld by Allah until the Day of Resurrection, except for disobedience to parents, for He hastens to deliver its consequence to the perpetrator in this life before death." – Weak

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذٍ الْعَدْلُ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي قَالَا ثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الطَّبَّاعِ ثَنَا بَكَّارُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ قَالَ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «كُلُّ الذُّنُوبِ يُؤَخِّرُ اللَّهُ مَا شَاءَ مِنْهَا إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ إِلَّا عُقُوقَ الْوَالِدَيْنِ فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يُعَجِّلُهُ لِصَاحِبِهِ فِي الْحَيَاةِ قَبْلَ الْمَمَاتِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بكار بن عبد العزيز ضعيف – ضعيف

"They were granted permission to maintain their tribal connections, even though they were polytheists. Thus, the verse was revealed: 'It is not upon you to guide them.' (Quran 2:272) until the verse was revealed: 'Whatever you spend of good, indeed Allah is Knowing of it.' (Quran 2:273) Then, permission was granted to them." This was explained by Al-Dhahabi in summary. – Remains Silent

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانُوا يَكْرَهُونَ

أَنْ يُرَخِّصُوا لِأَنْسَابِهِمْ وَهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ فَنَزَلَتْ {لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ هُدَاهُمْ} [البقرة 272] حَتَّى بَلَغَ {وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ} [البقرة 273] فَرُخِّصَ لَهُمْ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص – سكت عنه

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah the Almighty said, "I am the Most Merciful and it is through mercy that relationships exist. Whoever maintains good ties with his family, I will maintain good ties with him, and whoever severs his family ties, I will sever my ties with him." – Sound Chain per Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ أَنَا الرَّحْمَنُ وَهِيَ الرَّحِمُ فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعْتُهُ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» وَقَدْ رُوِيَ بِأَسَانِيدَ وَاضِحَةٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ وَعَائِشَةَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو على شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The womb (kinship) is a branch from the Most Merciful, so whoever keeps connected to it, Allah keeps connected to him, and whoever cuts it off, Allah cuts him off." Sahih (authentic). – Sound

فَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحَافِظُ أَنْبَأَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجِعَانِيُّ قَالَا ثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَبِي الْحُسَيْنِ ثَنَا نَوْفَلُ بْنُ مُسَاحِقٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «الرَّحِمُ شَجْنَةٌ مِنَ الرَّحْمَنِ فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلَهُ اللَّهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعَهُ اللَّهُ ﷻ» صحيح – صحيح

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Allah the Exalted has said: I am Compassionate, and this has been derived from mercy. I have derived its name from My name. If anyone joins it, I shall join him, and if anyone cuts it off, I shall cut him off. – Sound

فَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلْمَانَ الْفَقِيهُ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَارِظٍ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَهُوَ مَرِيضٌ فَقَالَ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَصَلَتَكَ رَحِمٌ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ أَنَا الرَّحْمَنُ وَهِيَ الرَّحِمُ شَقَقْتُ لَهَا اسْمًا مِنَ اسْمِي فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعْتُهُ وَمَنْ بَتَّهَا أَبَتُّهُ صحيح – صحيح

He (the narrator) heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "Allah the Exalted said: 'I am the Most Merciful. I have created the womb (i.e., the bond of kinship) and have derived its name from My Name. Whoever maintains ties of kinship, I maintain ties with him, and whoever severs ties of kinship, I sever ties with him.'" This is narrated by Abu Raddad Al-Laythi, with the addition of Sufyan bin 'Uyainah, Muhammad bin Abi 'Atiq, Shu'ayb bin Abi Hamzah, and Sufyan bin Husayn. It is an authentic narration. – Sound

وَأَخْبَرَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أَنْبَأَ مَعْمَرٌ أَخْبَرَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّ رَدَّادَ اللَّيْثِيَّ أَخْبَرَهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَا الرَّحْمَنُ خَلَقْتُ الرَّحِمَ وَشَقَقْتُ لَهَا مِنِ اسْمِي فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا بَتَتُّهُ «هَذَا أَبُو رَدَّادٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ قَدْ أَضَافَ فِيهِ سُفْيَانَ بْنَ عُيَيْنَةَ وَمُحَمَّدَ بْنَ أَبِي عَتِيقٍ وَشُعَيْبَ بْنَ أَبِي حَمْزَةَ وَسُفْيَانَ بْنَ حُسَيْنٍ» صحيح – صحيح

Bishr b. Mūsá > al-Ḥumaydī > Sufyān > al-Zuhrī > Abū Salamah > Āshtaká Abū al-Raddād Fajāʾah ʿAbd al-Raḥman ʿĀʾid > Khayruhum Waʾawṣaluhum Mā ʿAlimt Abū Muḥammad > ʿAbd al-Raḥman

Abu al-Raddad complained, then Abdullah bin Rahman came to him and said, "May the best of them and the closest to them be with you. I don't know Abu Muhammad." Abdullah bin Rahman then said, "I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, saying that Allah the Exalted said, 'I am Allah and I am the Most Merciful. I created the womb and I derived its name from My own name. So whoever maintains ties with it, I will maintain ties with him, and whoever severs it, I will sever ties with him." (Sahih) – Sound

فَحَدَّثَنَاهُ الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْإِمَامُ وَعَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ قَالَا ثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ

اشْتَكَى أَبُو الرَّدَّادِ فَجَاءَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَائِدًا فَقَالَ خَيْرُهُمْ وَأَوْصَلُهُمْ مَا عَلِمْتُ أَبَا مُحَمَّدٍ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ أَنَا اللَّهُ وَأَنَا الرَّحْمَنُ خَلَقْتُ الرَّحِمَ وَشَقَقْتُ لَهَا مِنِ اسْمِي فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعْتُهُ صحيح – صحيح
