(9) – What is permissible for the guardian and what is not permissible

Muḥammad b. al-Mubārak > Yaḥyá b. Ḥamzah > Abū Wahb > Makḥūl
"The power of the guardian is permissible in everything except in the act of buying, and when someone sells, it is not considered valid." This is the opinion of Yahya ibn Hamza. – Sound Chain
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ أَبِي وَهْبٍ عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ قَالَ
«أَمْرُ الْوَصِيِّ جَائِزٌ فِي كُلِّ شَيْءٍ إِلَّا فِي الِابْتِيَاعِ وَإِذَا بَاعَ بَيْعًا لَمْ يُقِلْ» وَهُوَ رَأْيُ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَمْزَةَ – إسناده صحيح
