Sulaymān b. Manṣūr al-Balkhī > Abū al-Aḥwaṣ > Sufyān > Abū al-Zubayr > Jābir

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "When any of you is invited, let him accept, if he wishes he may eat, and if he wishes he may leave."

أَخْبَرَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْبَلْخِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَحْوَصِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «إِذَا دُعِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيُجِبْ فَإِنْ شَاءَ طَعِمَ وَإِنْ شَاءَ تَرَكَ»
