Sunan an-Nasa'i al-Kubra 5727

Yūnus b. ʿAbd al-Aʿlá > Yaḥyá > al-Layth > ʿUbaydullāh b. Abū Jaʿfar > Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

The following passage is a hadith (saying) of the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ: "Whoever revives a dead land that does not belong to anyone, then he has more right to it." Haywah ibn Shurayh disagreed with him.

أَخْبَرَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ أَحْيَا أَرْضًا مَيِّتَةً لَيْسَتْ لِأَحَدٍ فَهُوَ أَحَقُّ بِهَا» خَالَفَهُ حَيْوَةُ بْنُ شُرَيْحٍ
