Muḥammad b. Ismāʿīl b. Ibrāhīm > Yazīd > Sufyān b. Ḥusayn > al-Zuhrī > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to seclude himself (in worship), and he would not enter the house except for a necessity that cannot be avoided. I washed his head, and there was a small distance between me and the threshold of the house." Abu Abdur Rahman Sufyan bin Husayn said, "There is no harm in that, except according to Az-Zuhri, and he is not strong in his opinion. His equivalent in opinion according to Az-Zuhri is Sulaiman bin Kathir and Ja'far bin Burqan, and there is no harm in their opinions except according to Az-Zuhri."

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ

«كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ مُعْتَكِفًا وَكَانَ لَا يَدْخُلُ الْبَيْتَ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةٍ لَا بُدَّ مِنْهَا وَغَسَلْتُ رَأْسَهُ وَإِنَّ بَيْنِي وَبَيْنَهُ لَعَتَبَةُ الْبَيْتِ» قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ حُسَيْنٍ لَا بَأْسَ بِهِ فِي غَيْرِ الزُّهْرِيِّ وَلَيْسَ هُوَ فِي الزُّهْرِيِّ بِالْقَوِيِّ وَنَظِيرُهُ فِي الزُّهْرِيِّ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ وَجَعْفَرُ بْنُ بُرْقَانَ وَلَيْسَ بِهِمَا بَأْسٌ فِي غَيْرِ الزُّهْرِيِّ
