Sunan an-Nasa'i al-Kubra 3355

Yūsuf b. Saʿīd > Ḥajjāj > Ibn Jurayj > Ziyād b. Saʿd > Ibn Shihāb > ʿUrwah > ʿĀʾishah

It was narrated from the Prophet ﷺ that when he performed i'tikaf, he would not enter his house except for essential human needs.

أَخْبَرَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجٌ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي زِيَادُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ كَانَ «إِذَا اعْتَكَفَ لَمْ يَدْخُلْ بَيْتَهُ إِلَّا لِحَاجَةِ الْإِنْسَانِ الَّتِي لَا بُدَّ مِنْهَا»
