Isḥāq b. Ibrāhīm > ʿAbd al-Razzāq > Maʿmar > Ayyūb > Nāfiʿ > Ibn ʿUmar

When the Prophet ﷺ finished from Hunayn, Umar asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about a vow that he had made during the days of ignorance to observe seclusion for a day, so he commanded him to fulfill it.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ

لَمَّا قَفَلَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ مِنْ حُنَيْنٍ «سَأَلَ عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ عَنْ نَذْرٍ كَانَ نَذَرَهُ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ اعْتِكَافَ يَوْمٍ فَأَمَرَهُ بِهِ»
