The divorce of the menstruating woman

Maḥmūd b. Ghaylān al-Marwazī > Wakīʿ > Sufyān > al-Thawrī > Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman a freed slave of Abū Ṭalḥah > Sālim b. ʿAbdullāh > Ibn ʿUmar > Ṭallaq Āmraʾatah Wahī Ḥāʾiḍ Fadhukir Dhalik Lilnnabī ﷺ
he divorced his wife when she was menstruating, and 'Umar mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ. He said: "Tell him to take her back then divorce her when she is pure (not menstruating) or pregnant."
أَخْبَرَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ هُوَ الثَّوْرِيُّ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ مَوْلَى أَبِي طَلْحَةَ عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ
أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ امْرَأَتَهُ وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَ «مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا ثُمَّ لِيُطَلِّقْهَا وَهِيَ طَاهِرٌ أَوْ حَامِلٌ»
