His saying "Establish the prayer

Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Aʿlá > Khālid > Shuʿbah > Abū Jamrah > Ibn ʿAbbās

"A delegation from the tribe of Abdul Qais came to the Prophet ﷺ, and he commanded them with four things: to believe in Allah alone, to establish prayer, to give zakat, to fast in Ramadan, and to give one-fifth of the spoils."

أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي جَمْرَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّ وَفْدَ عَبْدِ الْقَيْسِ أَتَوَا النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَأَمَرَهُمْ بِأَرْبَعٍ أَنْ يُؤْمِنُوا بِاللهِ وَحْدَهُ وَأَنْ يُقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَيُؤْتُوا الزَّكَاةَ وَيَصُومُوا رَمَضَانَ وَيُعْطُوا مِنَ الْمَغَانِمِ الْخُمُسَ
