It was narrated from Ibn 'Umar that:

the Prophet forbade artificially inflating prices.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ النَّجْشِ .
