Anas is reported to have said: Four persons collected the Qur'an during the lifetime of Messenger of Allah ﷺ and all of them were Ansar: Mu'adh b. Jabal, Ubayy b. Ka'b, Zaid b. Thabit, Abu Zaid. Qatada said: Anas, who was Abu Zaid? He said: He was one of my uncles.

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسًا،
يَقُولُ جَمَعَ الْقُرْآنَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَرْبَعَةٌ كُلُّهُمْ مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ مُعَاذُ
بْنُ جَبَلٍ وَأُبَىُّ بْنُ كَعْبٍ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ وَأَبُو زَيْدٍ . قَالَ قَتَادَةُ قُلْتُ لأَنَسٍ مَنْ أَبُو زَيْدٍ قَالَ
أَحَدُ عُمُومَتِي .
