Jabir reported: I heard Allah's Apostle ﷺ saying during an expedition in which we also participated: Make a general practice of wearing sandals, for a man is riding as it were when he wears sandals.

حَدَّثَنِي سَلَمَةُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْقِلٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ
جَابِرٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي غَزْوَةٍ غَزَوْنَاهَا
" اسْتَكْثِرُوا مِنَ
النِّعَالِ فَإِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لاَ يَزَالُ رَاكِبًا مَا انْتَعَلَ " .
