Muwatta Imam Malik Book of Hajj, Hadith 70

Yahya related to me from Malik, from Rabia ibn Abi Abd ar-Rahman, from Sulayman ibn Yasar, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Abu Rafi and a man of the Ansar to arrange his marriage to Maymuna bint al-Harith, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was in Madina before he had left for umra.

حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بَعَثَ أَبَا رَافِعٍ وَرَجُلاً مِنَ الأَنْصَارِ فَزَوَّجَاهُ مَيْمُونَةَ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِالْمَدِينَةِ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَخْرُجَ .
