I returned to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and found a water pitcher hanging, and its water was dripping on him due to the intensity of the fever he was experiencing. So I said, "O Messenger of Allah, if you invoke Allah to remove it from you?" He replied, "Verily, the prophets face the most severe trials, and then those who are closest to them." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the summary. – Remains Silent

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ الْعَقَدِيُّ ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا عُبَيْدَةَ بْنَ حُذَيْفَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمَّتِهِ فَاطِمَةَ قَالَتْ

عُدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي نِسْوَةٍ فَإِذَا سِقَاءٌ مُعَلَّقٌ وَمَاؤُهُ يَقْطُرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ شِدَّةِ مَا يَجِدُ مِنْ حَرِّ الْحُمَّى فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ لَوْ دَعَوْتَ اللَّهَ فَأَذْهَبَهُ عَنْكَ فَقَالَ «إِنَّ أَشَدَّ النَّاسِ بَلَاءً الْأَنْبِيَاءُ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص – سكت عنه
