Abū Bakr b. Isḥāq > Abū Muslim > Ibrāhīm b. Ḥumayd al-Ṭawīl > Ṣāliḥ b. Abū al-Akhḍar > al-Zuhrī > ʿUrwah > Ḥakīm b. Ḥizām

He said, "O Messenger of Allah, we used to seek Ruqyah and use medicines to cure ourselves. Does it go against the decree of Allah?" He replied, "It is part of the decree of Allah." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about this in his summary. – Remains Silent

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلُ ثَنَا صَالِحُ بْنُ أَبِي الْأَخْضَرِ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ

أَنَّهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ رُقَىً كُنَّا نَسْتَرْقِي بِهَا وَأَدْوِيَةٌ كُنَّا نَتَدَاوَى بِهَا هَلْ تُرَدُّ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ؟ فَقَالَ «هِيَ مِنْ قَدَرِ اللَّهِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص – سكت عنه
