Jaʿfar b. Muḥammad al-Khaladī > Abū al-ʿAbbās > Masrūq > Shurayḥ b. Yūnus > Saʿīd b. Muḥammad al-Warrāq > Ṣāliḥ b. Ḥassān > ʿUrwah b. al-Zubayr > ʿĀʾishah

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me: 'If you want to stick with me, then suffice yourself in the world with the provisions of the rider. And beware of gatherings of the rich, and do not consider a garment to be worn out until it has been patched.'"

حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخَلَدِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ثَنَا شُرَيْحُ بْنُ يُونُسَ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَرَّاقُ حَدَّثَنِي صَالِحُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ قَالَ

لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «يَا عَائِشَةُ إِنْ أَرَدْتِ اللُّحُوقَ بِي فَلْيَكْفِكِ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا كَزَادِ الرَّاكِبِ لَا تَسْتَخْلِقِي ثَوْبًا حَتَّى تُرَقِّعِيهِ وَإِيَّاكِ وَمُجَالَسَةَ الْأَغْنِيَاءِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ
