Mustadrak al-Hakim 7864

Ibrāhīm b. ʿIṣmah b. Ibrāhīm al-ʿAdl from my father > Yaḥyá b. Yaḥyá > Abū Muʿāwiyah > al-ʿAwwām b. Jūwayriyah > al-Ḥasan > Anas > Qāl Rasūl

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are four things that are only affected by astonishment: silence, which is the beginning of worship, humility, remembering Allah the Almighty, and having few possessions."

أَخْبَرَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عِصْمَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ عَنِ الْعَوَّامِ بْنِ جُوَيْرِيَةَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَرْبَعٌ لَا يُصِبْنَ إِلَّا بِعَجَبٍ الصَّمْتُ وَهُوَ أَوَّلُ الْعِبَادَةِ وَالتَّوَضُّعُ وَذِكْرُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى وَقِلَّةُ الشَّيْءِ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ
