Mustadrak al-Hakim 7020

Abū al-Naḍr al-Faqīh > ʿUthmān b. Saʿīd al-Dārimī > Muslim b. Ibrāhīm > Ṣadaqah b. Mūsá > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > Saʿīd b. al-Musayyib > Abū Dhar

I said, "O Messenger of Allah, command me." He said, "Leadership is a trust, and on the Day of Resurrection, it will be a source of shame and regret, except for those who governed with justice and fulfilled their responsibilities."

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثَنَا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ثَنَا صَدَقَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ

قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَمِّرْنِي قَالَ «الْإِمَارَةُ أَمَانَةٌ وَهِيَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خِزْيٌ وَنَدَامَةٌ إِلَّا مَنْ أَمَرَ بِحَقٍّ وَأَدَّى بِالْحَقِّ عَلَيْهِ فِيهَا»
