Mustadrak al-Hakim 4283

Muḥammad b. Ṣāliḥ b. Hāniʾ > al-Ḥusayn b. al-Faḍl > Hawdhah b. Khalīfah > ʿAwf b. Abū Jamīlah > Zurārah b. Abū Awfá > ʿAbdullāh b. Sallām

“When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came to Al-Madinah, the people rushed towards him and it was said: ‘The Messenger of Allah ﷺ has come!’ I came along with the people to see him, and when I looked at the face of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, I realized that his face was not the face of a liar. The first thing he said was: “O people, spread (the greeting of) Salam, offer food to people and pray at night when people are sleeping, you will enter Paradise in peace.” – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ ثنا هَوْذَةُ بْنُ خَلِيفَةَ ثنا عَوْفُ بْنُ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ عَنْ زُرَارَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْفَى عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَّامٍ قَالَ

لَمَّا وَرَدَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ الْمَدِينَةَ انْجَفَلَ النَّاسُ إِلَيْهِ وَقِيلَ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ فَجِئْتُ فِي النَّاسِ لِأَنْظُرُ فَلَمَّا تَبَيَّنْتُ وَجْهَهُ عَرَفْتُ أَنَّ وَجْهَهُ لَيْسَ بِوَجْهٍ كَذَّابٍ وَكَانَ أَوَّلُ شَيْءٍ سَمِعْتُهُ يَتَكَلَّمُ أَنْ قَالَ «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَفْشُوا السَّلَامَ وَأَطْعِمُوا الطَّعَامَ وَصِلُوا الْأَرْحَامَ وَصَلُّوا وَالنَّاسُ نِيَامٌ تَدْخُلُوا الْجَنَّةَ بِسَلَامٍ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم
