"Study the hadith, for indeed studying the hadith helps in understanding the hadith." "And it has been narrated in the hadith about studying the hadith from Ali ibn Abi Talib and Abdullah ibn Mas'ood with authentic hadiths according to the criteria of the two shaykhs."

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ثنا الْأَعْمَشُ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي نَضْرَةَ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

«تَذَاكَرُوا الْحَدِيثَ فَإِنَّ مُذَاكَرَةَ الْحَدِيثِ تُهَيِّجُ الْحَدِيثَ» «وَقَدْ رُوِيَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ عَلَى مُذَاكَرَةِ الْحَدِيثِ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ بِأَحَادِيثَ صَحِيحَةٍ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ»
