A man from the Jewish community bought him (a person), so he brought him to the city. He said, "So I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ with a gift, and I said, 'This is a charity.' He said to his companions, 'Eat,' but he (the Messenger of Allah) did not eat. Then he (the person) mentioned the Hadith similar to it, according to the condition of Muslim. – Sound Chain per Muslim

أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شَاذَانَ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُعَلَّى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ أَبُو يُوسُفَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ مَحْمُودِ بْنِ لَبِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ حَدَّثَنِي سَلْمَانُ

أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْيَهُودِ اشْتَرَاهُ فَقَدِمَ بِهِ الْمَدِينَةَ قَالَ فَأَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَقُلْتُ هَذِهِ صَدَقَةٌ فَقَالَ لِأَصْحَابِهِ «كُلُوا» وَلَمْ يَأْكُلْ ثُمَّ ذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ نَحْوَهُعلى شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم
