Mūsá b. Hārūn > Yaḥyá b. Ayyūb > Abū al-Faḍl b. Ibrāhīm b. Muḥammad b. Yazīd > ʿAlī b. Ḥujr > Ismāʿīl b. Jaʿfar > al-ʿAlāʾ from his father > Abū Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a dish of food and put his hand into it. His fingers became wet, so he said, "What is this, O owner of the food?" The food's owner said, "It has been rained on, O Messenger of Allah." The Prophet ﷺ replied, "So why didn't you put it on top of the food so that people could see it?" Then he said, "Whoever deceives us is not one of us." Muslim has also reported a hadith from Suhayl, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet ﷺ said, "Whoever deceives us is not one of us." As for the explanation of these narrations, it has not been mentioned, but all of them are authentic according to the standards of Muslim's narration. – Sound Chain

فَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ دَعْلَجُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ السِّجْزِيُّ حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْفَضْلِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلَاءُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ مَرَّ عَلَى صَبِرَةٍ مِنْ طَعَامٍ فَأَدْخَلَ يَدَهُ فِيهِ فَنَالَتْ أَصَابِعُهُ بَلَلًا فَقَالَ «مَا هَذَا يَا صَاحِبَ الطَّعَامِ؟» فَقَالَ أَصَابَتْهُ السَّمَاءُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ أَفَلَا جَعَلْتَهُ فَوْقَ الطَّعَامِ حَتَّى يَرَاهُ النَّاسُ ثُمَّ قَالَ «مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي» وَقَدْ أَخْرَجَ مُسْلِمٌ حَدِيثَ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «مَنْ غَشَّنَا فَلَيْسَ مِنَّا» وَأَمَّا شَرْحُ الْحَالِ فِي هَذِهِ الْأَحَادِيثِ فَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَكُلُّهَا صَحِيحَةٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ رواه مسلم مختصرا – إسناده صحيح
