Mustadrak al-Hakim, Book of The Two ʿĪd Ṣalāhs

Hannād > Ḥusayn b. ʿAlī > Zāʾidah > ʿĀṣim > Shaqīq

Ali used to make takbeer (saying Allahu Akbar) after the Fajr prayer on the day of Arafah, and he would not stop until he prayed behind the imam on the last days of Tashreeq, then he would make takbeer after Asr prayer.

فَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ثنا هَنَّادٌ ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ زَائِدَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنْ شَقِيقٍ قَالَ

كَانَ عَلِيٌّ «يُكَبِّرُ بَعْدَ صَلَاةِ الْفَجْرِ غَدَاةَ عَرَفَةَ ثُمَّ لَا يَقْطَعُ حَتَّى يُصَلِّيَ الْإِمَامُ مِنْ آخِرِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ ثُمَّ يُكَبِّرُ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ»

ʿAbdullāh b. Aḥmad b. Ḥanbal from my father > Yaḥyá b. Saʿīd > al-Ḥakam b. Farrūkh > Ibn ʿAbbās

He used to perform the takbir (saying Allahu Akbar) from the morning of the day of Arafah until the Asr prayer of the last days of Tashreeq.

فَحَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

أَنَّهُ كَانَ «يُكَبِّرُ مِنْ غَدَاةِ عَرَفَةَ إِلَى صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ مِنْ آخِرِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ»

Muḥammad b. Naṣr > Yaḥyá b. Yaḥyá > Hushaym > Abū Janāb > ʿUmayr b. Saʿīd

Ibn Masood came to us and he used to say, "The Prophet ﷺ would prolong the prayer of Fajr (dawn prayer) on the day of Arafah (the ninth day of the Islamic month of Dhul-Hijjah) until the prayer of Asr (afternoon prayer) on the last days of Tashreeq."

فَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو يَحْيَى أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السَّمَرْقَنْدِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ هُشَيْمٌ عَنْ أَبِي جَنَابٍ عَنْ عُمَيْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ

قَدِمَ عَلَيْنَا ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ فَكَانَ «يُكَبِّرُ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الصُّبْحِ يَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ إِلَى صَلَاةِ الْعَصْرِ مِنْ آخِرِ أَيَّامِ التَّشْرِيقِ»
