The Quraysh asked the Prophet ﷺ to pray for them that Safa be turned into gold and they would believe in him. He asked them, "Are you sure?" They replied, "Yes." So he prayed, and Jibril (AS) came to him and said, "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, sends His greetings upon you and says, 'If you wish, I can turn Safa into gold. But whoever disbelieves after that, I will punish them with a punishment that I do not inflict upon anyone in the worlds. And if you wish, I can open the gate of repentance and mercy for them.'" The Prophet ﷺ replied, "Rather, it is the gate of repentance and mercy." – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْقَطِيعِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ عِمَرَانَ أَبِي الْحَكَمِ السُّلَمِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ قَالَتْ

قُرَيْشٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ ادْعُ لَنَا أَنْ يَجْعَلَ لَنَا الصَّفَا ذَهَبًا وَنُؤْمِنُ بِكَ قَالَ «أَتَفْعَلُونَ؟» قَالُوا نَعَمْ فَدَعَا فَأَتَاهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ اللَّهَ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْكَ السَّلَامَ وَيَقُولُ إِنْ شِئْتَ أَصْبَحَ الصَّفَا ذَهَبًا فَمَنْ كَفَرَ بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ عَذَّبْتُهُ عَذَابًا لَا أُعَذِّبُهُ أَحَدًا مِنَ الْعَالَمِينَ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَحْتُ لَهُمْ بَابَ التَّوْبَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ قَالَ «بَلْ بَابُ التَّوْبَةِ وَالرَّحْمَةِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

I heard the Messenger of Allah (pbuh) saying, "Indeed, one of the blessings of a person is to have a long life and for Allah to grant them repentance." – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ الْفَرْوِيُّ ثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «إِنَّ مِنْ سَعَادَةِ الْمَرْءِ أَنْ يَطُولَ عُمْرُهُ وَيَرْزُقَهُ اللَّهُ الْإِنَابَةَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says, 'I am as My servant thinks of Me, so let him think of Me as he wishes.'" – Sound Chain per Muslim

أَخْبَرَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَلِيمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو الْمُوَجِّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ أَنْبَأَ هِشَامُ بْنُ الْغَازِ عَنْ حِبَّانُ بْنُ أَبِي النَّضْرِ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَاثِلَةَ بْنَ الْأَسْقَعِ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَا عِنْدَ ظَنِّ عَبْدِي بِي فَلْيَظُنَّ بِي مَا شَاءَ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» صحيح وعلى شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

The Prophet ﷺ said, "Verily, having good thoughts about Allah, the Almighty, is a form of worship of Allah." – Sound Chain per Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْبَغَوِيُّ وَثَنًا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ قَالَا ثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مِنْهَالٍ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ عَنْ شُتَيْرِ بْنِ نَهَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ حُسْنَ الظَّنِّ بِاللَّهِ تَعَالَى مِنْ عِبَادَةِ اللَّهِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

He said, "A good deed is rewarded ten times or even more, while a bad deed is only one, and I can forgive it. Even if you meet me with the sins that fill the earth, as long as you do not associate partners with me, I will meet you with forgiveness equal to it." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ حَرَسَهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ثَنَا أَبُو يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي مَسَرَّةَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْمُقْرِئُ ثَنَا هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ عَاصِمٍ عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الصَّادِقُ الْمَصْدُوقُ ﷺ فِيمَا يَرْوِي عَنْ رَبِّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى

أَنَّهُ قَالَ «الْحَسَنَةُ بِعَشْرِ أَمْثَالِهَا أَوْ أَزِيدُ وَالسَّيِّئَةُ وَاحِدَةٌ أَوْ أَغْفِرُهَا وَلَوْ لَقِيتَنِي بِقُرَابِ الْأَرْضِ خَطَايَا مَا لَمْ تُشْرِكٍ بِي لَقِيتُكَ بِقُرَابِهَا مَغْفِرَةً» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

On the authority of Allah, the Exalted and Majestic, who said: "O my servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness from Me and I shall forgive you. O my servants, you will not attain harm to Me, so harm Me not. O my servants, you are all hungry except those whom I feed, so seek food from Me and I shall feed you. O my servants, you are all naked except those whom I clothe, so seek clothing from Me and I shall clothe you. O my servants, you sin by night and by day, and I forgive all sins, so seek forgiveness from Me and I shall forgive you. O my servants, if the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you, were to rise up in one place and make a request of Me, and were I to give everyone what he requested, that would not cause any loss to Me greater than that which is caused by the dipping of a needle into the sea. O my servants, it is but your deeds that I account for you, and then recompense you for. So let him who finds good praise Allāh, and let him who finds other than that blame no one except himself."

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ فِرَاسٍ الْمَكِّيُّ الْفَقِيهُ بِمَكَّةَ حَرَسَهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو مُسْهِرٍ عَبْدُ الْأَعْلَى بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلَانِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَنِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَنَّهُ قَالَ «يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّكُمُ الَّذِينَ تُخْطِئُونَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَأَنَا الَّذِي أَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ وَلَا أُبَالِي فَاسْتَغْفِرُونِي أَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ جَائِعٌ إِلَّا مَنْ أَطْعَمْتُ فَاسْتَطْعِمُوا فِيَّ أُطْعِمْكُمْ يَا عِبَادِي كُلُّكُمْ عَارٍ إِلَّا مَنْ كَسَوْتُ فَاسْتَكْسُونِي أَكْسُكُمْ يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمْ كَانُوا عَلَى أَتْقَى قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لَمْ يَزِدْ ذَلِكَ فِي مُلْكِي شَيْئًا يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمْ كَانُوا عَلَى أَفْجَرِ قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ مِنْكُمْ لَمْ يُنْقِصْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِي شَيْئًا يَا عِبَادِي لَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمُ اجْتَمَعُوا فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ فَسَأَلُونِي وَأَعْطَيْتُ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ مِنْهُمْ مَا سَأَلَ لَمْ يُنْقِصْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِي شَيْئًا إِلَّا كَمَا يَنْقُصُ الْبَحْرُ إِنْ يُغْمَسْ فِيهِ الْمِخْيَطُ غَمْسَةً وَاحِدَةً يَا عِبَادِي إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ أَحْفَظُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ فَمَنْ وَجَدَ خَيْرًا فَلْيَحْمَدِ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى وَمَنْ وَجَدَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ فَلَا يَلُومَنَّ إِلَّا نَفْسَهُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ هو في مسلم

Abū Bakr Muḥammad b. Aḥmad b. Bālawayh > Muḥammad b. Bishr b. Maṭar > Khālid b. Khidāsh al-Zahrānī > Bashhār b. al-Ḥakam > Thābit al-Bunānī > Anas b. Mālik

Abu Dharr al-Ghifari urinated while standing up, and his urine splashed onto his legs and feet. A man said to him, "The urine has touched your legs and feet." He did not respond to him until he arrived at the home of a group of people. They offered him water for purification, so he performed ablution and washed his legs and feet. Then he approached the man and asked, "What did you say?" The man replied, "By now, you have already done it." Abu Dharr said, "This is the cure and the remedy for sins, to seek forgiveness from Allah, the Almighty." – Sound

حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرِ بْنِ مَطَرٍ ثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ خِدَاشٍ الزَّهْرَانِيُّ ثَنَا بَشَّارُ بْنُ الْحَكَمِ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ

أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ الْغِفَارِيَّ بَالَ قَائِمًا فَانْتَضَحَ مِنْ بَوْلِهِ عَلَى سَاقَيْهِ وَقَدَمَيْهِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَجُلٌ إِنَّهُ أَصَابَ مِنْ بَوْلِكَ قَدَمَيْكَ وَسَاقَيْكَ فَلَمْ يَرُدَّ عَلَيْهِ شَيْئًا حَتَّى انْتَهَى إِلَى دَارِ قَوْمٍ فَاسْتَوْهَبَهُمْ طَهُورًا فَأَخْرَجُوا إِلَيْهِ فَتَوَضَّأَ وَغَسَلَ سَاقَيْهِ وَقَدَمَيْهِ ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى الرَّجُلِ فَقَالَ مَاذَا قُلْتَ؟ فَقَالَ أَمَّا الْآنَ فَقَدْ فَعَلْتَ فَقَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ «هَذَا دَوَاءُ هَذَا وَدَوَاءُ الذُّنُوبِ أَنْ تَسْتَغْفِرَ اللَّهَ ﷻ» هَذَا وَإِنْ كَانَ مَوْقُوفًا فَإِنَّ إِسْنَادَهُ صَحِيحٌ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ وَهَذَا مَوْضِعُهُ صحيح – صحيح

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "If a person commits a sin and then says, 'O Lord, I have committed a sin, so forgive me,' his Lord says, 'My servant knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins and holds people accountable for them.' Then Allah forgives him. The servant remains as he pleases with the permission of Allah. Then he commits another sin and says, 'O Lord, I have committed a sin, so forgive me.' His Lord says, 'My servant knows that he has a Lord who forgives sins and holds people accountable for them. I have forgiven my servant. Let him do as he pleases.' Then he commits another sin and says, 'O Lord, forgive my sin.' Allah, the Blessed and Exalted, says, 'My servant committed a sin knowing that he has a Lord who forgives sins and holds people accountable for them. Do as you please, for I have forgiven you.'" – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ أَنْبَأَ يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ هَمَّامُ بْنُ يَحْيَى عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ قَالَ كَانَ قَاصٌّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ يُقَالُ لَهُ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرَةَ فَسَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ يَقُولُ

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِنَّ عَبْدًا أَصَابَ ذَنْبًا فَقَالَ يَا رَبِّ أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا فَاغْفِرْ لِي فَقَالَ لَهُ رَبُّهُ عَلِمَ عَبْدِي أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ وَيَأْخُذُ بِهِ فَغَفَرَ لَهُ ثُمَّ مَكَثَ مَا شَاءَ اللَّهُ ثُمَّ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا آخَرَ فَقَالَ يَا رَبِّ أَذْنَبْتُ ذَنْبًا فَاغْفِرْهُ لِي فَقَالَ رَبُّهُ ﷻ عَلِمَ عَبْدِي أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ وَيَأْخُذُ بِهِ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لِعَبْدِي فَلْيَعْمَلْ مَا شَاءَ ثُمَّ عَادَ فَأَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا فَقَالَ رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي فَقَالَ اللَّهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى أَذْنَبَ عَبْدِي ذَنْبًا فَعَلِمَ أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا يَغْفِرُ الذَّنْبَ وَيَأْخُذُ بِالذَّنْبِ اعْمَلْ مَا شِئْتَ قَدْ غَفَرْتُ لَكَ «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Whoever commits a sin and knows that he has a Lord, if He wills, to forgive him, He will forgive him. And if He wills, to punish him, it is the right of Allah to forgive him."

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ ثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثَنَا جَابِرُ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ الْمَكِّيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ عَنْ أَبِي طُوَالَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ أَذْنَبَ ذَنْبًا فَعَلِمَ أَنَّ لَهُ رَبًّا إِنْ شَاءَ أَنْ يَغْفِرَهُ لَهُ غَفَرَهُ لَهُ وَإِنْ شَاءَ عَذَّبَهُ كَانَ حَقًّا عَلَى اللَّهِ أَنْ يَغْفِرَ لَهُ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ لا والله ومن جابر حتى يكون حجة بل هو نكرة وحديثه منكر والعمري هو الزاهد أحد الثقات

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "A man does not travel in a desolate land and then rests under a tree with all his provisions and food on his mount, and then when he wakes up, he finds that his mount has slipped away. So he climbs a hill and does not see anything, then he climbs another hill and does not see anything. Then he turns around and suddenly sees his mount coming towards him, dragging its reins. There is nothing that can make him happier than the happiness of Allah when His servant repents to Him." – Sound Chain per Muslim

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثَنَا النَّضْرُ بْنُ شُمَيْلِ بْنِ خَرَشَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَهُ يَقُولُ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَا يُسَافَرُ رَجُلٌ فِي أَرْضٍ تَنُوفَةٍ فَقَالَ تَحْتَ شَجَرَةٍ وَمَعَهُ رَاحِلَتُهُ عَلَيْهَا زَادُهُ وَطَعَامُهُ فَاسْتَيْقَظَ وَقَدْ أَفْلَتَتْ رَاحِلَتُهُ فَعَلَا شَرَفًا فَلَمْ يَرَ شَيْئًا ثُمَّ عَلَا شَرَفًا فَلَمْ يَرَ شَيْئًا فَالْتَفَتَ فَإِذَا هُوَ بِهَا تَجُرُّ خِطَامَهَا فَمَا هُوَ بِأَشَدَّ فَرَحًا بِهَا مِنَ اللَّهِ بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ إِذَا تَابَ إِلَيْهِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَشَاهِدُهُ حَدِيثُ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

What is your opinion about the delight of a person whose camel loaded with the provisions of food and drink is lost and that moves about with its nosestring trailing upon the waterless desert in which there is neither food nor drink, and lie wanders about in search of that until he is completely exhausted and then accidentally it happens to pass by the trunk of a tree and its nosestring gets entangled in that and he finds it entangled therein? He (in response to the question of the Holy Prophet) said: Messenger of Allah, he would feel highly delighted. Thereupon Messenger of Allah ﷺ said. By Allah, Allah is more delighted at the repentance of His servant than that person (as he finds his lost) camel. – Sound Chain per Muslim

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كَيْفَ تَقُولُونَ بِفَرَحِ رَجُلٍ انْفَلَتَ رَاحِلَتُهُ تَجُرُّ زِمَامَهَا بِأَرْضٍ قَفْرٍ لَيْسَ بِهَا طَعَامٌ وَلَا شَرَابٌ وَعَلَيْهَا لَهُ طَعَامٌ وَشَرَابٌ فَطَلَبَهَا حَتَّى شَقَّ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ مَرَّتْ بِحَوْلِ شَجَرَةٍ فَتَعَلَّقَ زِمَامُهَا فَوَجَدَهَا مُعَلَّقَةً بِهِ؟» قُلْنَا شَدِيدٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ «أَمَا وَاللَّهِ اللَّهُ أَشَدُّ فَرَحًا بِتَوْبَةِ عَبْدِهِ مِنَ الرَّجُلِ بِرَاحِلَتِهِ» على شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

He is hesitant to narrate a Hadith while I am sitting, Ziyad, narrating it from Abdullah ibn Mughaffal, who said, "I entered with my father to Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, and my father said, 'I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Regret is repentance."' Ibn Mas'ud said, 'Yes, I also heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Regret is repentance."'"

يَسْتَحِي أَنْ يُحَدِّثَ بِحَدِيثٍ وَأَنَا جَالِسٌ زِيَادٌ يَقُولُهُ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ قَالَ دَخَلْتُ مَعَ أَبِي عَلَى عَبْدِ اللَّهِ فَقَالَ أَبِي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ» قَالَ نَعَمْ أَنَا سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «النَّدَمُ تَوْبَةٌ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ اللَّفْظَةِ إِنَّمَا اتَّفَقَا عَلَى حَدِيثِ الْإِفْكِ وَقَوْلِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِعَائِشَةَ «إِنْ كُنْتِ بَرِيئَةً فَسَيُبَرِّئُكِ اللَّهُ وَإِنْ كُنْتِ أَلْمَمْتِ بِذَنْبٍ فَاسْتَغْفِرِي اللَّهَ وَتُوبِي إِلَيْهِ فَإِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا اعْتَرَفَ بِذَنَبِهِ ثُمَّ تَابَ تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ»

Abu al-Nadhr al-Faqih and Abu al-Hasan al-Anzi narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Sa'id al-Darimi narrated to us, 'Uthman ibn Salih al-Sahmi narrated to us, 'Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us from Yahya ibn Ayyub from Humaid al-Tawil who said, I said to Anas ibn Malik, "Did you hear the Prophet ﷺ say, 'Regret is repentance'?" He said, "Yes.".

That the Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, stood up after stoning the pillars, then he said: "Avoid this filth that Allah has forbidden. Whoever has done it, let him hide under the cover of Allah and repent to Allah, for whoever changes his way, Allah will inflict the punishment of the Book of Allah, mighty and exalted, upon him." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَامَ بَعْدَ أَنْ رَجَمَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّ فَقَالَ «اجْتَنِبُوا هَذِهِ الْقَاذُورَةَ الَّتِي نَهَى اللَّهُ عَنْهَا فَمَنْ أَلَمَّ فَلْيَسْتَتِرْ بِسِتْرِ اللَّهِ وَلْيُتُبْ إِلَى اللَّهِ فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ يُبْدِلْنَا صَفْحَتَهُ نُقِمْ عَلَيْهِ كِتَابَ اللَّهِ ﷻ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

that Muʿādh b. Jabal planned to go on a journey, so he said, "O Messenger of Allah ﷺ, ˹please˺ give me some advice." He said, "Worship Allah and do not associate anything with Him." Muʿādh said, "O Messenger of Allah, ˹please give me more advice.˺" He said, "When you have done something bad, then ˹follow it up with˺ doing good." Muʿādh said, "O Messenger of Allah, ˹please give me more advice.˺." The Prophet said, "Be steadfast ˹in these˺ and improve your character." This Ḥadīth has an sound chain but they did not collect. – Sound

حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ هَانِئٍ ثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ عِمَرَانَ التُّجِيبِيُّ أَنَّ أَبَا السُّمَيطِ سَعِيدَ بْنَ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَهْرِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

أَنَّ مُعَاذَ بْنَ جَبَلٍ أَرَادَ سَفَرًا فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، أَوْصِنِي۔ قَالَ: «اعْبُدِ اللَّهَ وَلَا تُشْرِكْ بِهِ شَيْئًا» قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، زِدْنِي۔ قَالَ: «إِذَا أَسَأْتَ فَأَحْسِنْ» قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، زِدْنِي۔ قَالَ: «اسْتَقِمْ وَلْتُحَسِّنْ خُلُقَكَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «كُلُّ بَنِي آدَمَ خَطَّاءٌ وَخَيْرُ الْخَطَّائِينَ التَّوَّابُونَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ علي بن مسعدة لين

He heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, "Every descendant of Adam comes on the Day of Resurrection with sins, except for what is from the lineage of Yahya ibn Zakariya." Prophet Muhammad ﷺ then pointed with his hand towards the ground and took a small stick, saying, "And that is because he had no belongings for men except for this stick, so Allah named him a master, a retreat, and a prophet among the righteous." – Remains Silent

أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «كُلُّ ابْنِ آدَمَ يَأْتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَلَهُ ذَنْبٌ إِلَّا مَا كَانَ مِنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ زَكَرِيَّا» قَالَ ثُمَّ دَلَّى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ بِيَدِهِ إِلَى الْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَ عُودًا صَغِيرًا ثُمَّ قَالَ «وَذَلِكَ أَنَّهُ لَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ مَا لِلرِّجَالِ إِلَّا مِثْلُ هَذَا الْعُودِ وَبِذَلِكَ سَمَّاهُ اللَّهُ سَيِّدَا وَحَصُورًا وَنَبِيًّا مِنَ الصَّالِحِينَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص – سكت عنه

I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "I never desired anything that the people of ignorance desired except on two occasions, and Allah, the Exalted, protected me from both of them. One night, a young man from the Quraysh tribe and I were pasturing sheep on the highest point of Makkah. I asked him to watch over my flock until I darken my skin with the sun for this night in Makkah, just like young boys darken. He agreed, so I left. When I reached a house near the outskirts of Makkah, I heard singing, the sound of tambourines and flutes. I asked, "What is this?" They said, "Fulana married Fulan, a man from the Quraysh, and they hired musicians for their wedding." I became entranced by the singing and the music until my eyes became heavy with sleep, and I slept. The sun woke me up, so I returned. Again, I heard the same thing. Someone said to me what I heard before, and I became entranced by it again until my eyes became heavy with sleep, and I slept. The sun woke me up again, and I returned to my companion. He asked me, "What did you do?" I replied, "I did not do anything." The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'By Allah, I never desired evil after that incident. Allah honored me with Prophethood.'" – Sound Chain per Muslim

سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ مَا هَمَمْتُ بِمَا كَانَ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ يَهُمُّونَ بِهِ إِلَّا مَرَّتَيْنِ مِنَ الدَّهْرِ كِلَاهُمَا يَعْصِمُنِي اللَّهُ تَعَالَى مِنْهُمَا قُلْتُ لَيْلَةً لِفَتًى كَانَ مَعِي مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ فِي أَعْلَى مَكَّةَ فِي أغنامٍ لِأَهْلِهَا تَرْعَى أَبْصِرْ لِي غَنَمِي حَتَّى أَسْمُرَ هَذِهِ اللَّيْلَةَ بِمَكَّةَ كَمَا تَسْمُرُ الْفِتْيَانُ قَالَ نَعَمْ فَخَرَجْتُ فَلَمَّا جِئْتُ أَدْنَى دَارٍ مِنْ دُورِ مَكَّةَ سَمِعْتُ غَنَاءً وَصَوْتَ دُفُوفٍ وَزَمْرٍ فَقُلْتُ مَا هَذَا؟ قَالُوا فُلَانٌ تَزَوَّجَ فُلَانَةَ لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ قُرَيْشٍ تَزَوَّجَ امْرَأَةً فَلَهَوْتُ بِذَلِكِ الْغِنَاءِ وَالصَّوْتِ حَتَّى غَلَبَتْنِي عَيْنِي فَنِمْتُ فَمَا أَيْقَظَنِي إِلَّا مَسُّ الشَّمْسِ فَرَجَعْتُ فَسَمِعْتُ مِثْلَ ذَلِكَ فَقِيلَ لِي مِثْلَ مَا قِيلَ لِي فَلَهَوْتُ بِمَا سَمِعْتُ وَغَلَبَتْنِي عَيْنِي فَمَا أَيْقَظَنِي إِلَّا مَسُّ الشَّمْسِ ثُمَّ رَجَعْتُ إِلَى صَاحِبِي فَقَالَ مَا فَعَلْتَ؟ فَقُلْتُ مَا فَعَلْتُ شَيْئًا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «فَوَاللَّهِ مَا هَمَمْتُ بَعْدَهَا أَبَدًا بِسُوءٍ مِمَّا يَعْمَلُ أَهْلُ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ حَتَّى أَكْرَمَنِي اللَّهُ تَعَالَى بِنُبُوَّتِهِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ على شرط مسلم – على شرط مسلم

In the saying of Allah, the Almighty: "Those who avoid the major sins and immoralities, except for lapses." [Surah An-Najm 32]. It is said, "It is a man who commits a sin, then he repents from it." He said, "He says, 'If you forgive, O Allah, You forgive so many (sins), and there is no servant for You who does not deserve to be forgiven." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا الْحَارِثُ بْنُ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ ثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ثَنَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ ثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ دِينَارٍ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ

فِي قَوْلِ اللَّهِ ﷻ {الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللِّمَمَ} [النجم 32] قَالَ «هُوَ الرَّجُلُ يُصِيبُ الْفَاحِشَةَ يُلِمُّ بِهَا ثُمَّ يَتُوبُ مِنْهَا» قَالَ يَقُولُ [البحر الرجز] إِنْ تَغْفِرِ اللَّهُمَّ تَغْفِرْ جَمَّا وَأَيُّ عَبْدٍ لَكَ لَا أَلَمَّا « هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» على شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

I was with Abu Hurairah and I said: "O Abu Hurairah, those who avoid major sins and indecencies except for minor sins, what are these minor sins?" He said, "Everything that does not enter the boundaries of the prohibited, but if it enters, it is considered adultery." – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الْقَزَّازُ ثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْعَقَدِيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْحَمِيدِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَثِيرٍ الْمَكِّيُّ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مِينَاءَ قَالَ

كُنْتُ عِنْدَ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ {الَّذِينَ يَجْتَنِبُونَ كَبَائِرَ الْإِثْمِ وَالْفَوَاحِشَ إِلَّا اللِّمَمَ} [النجم 32] فَمَا اللِّمَمُ؟ قَالَ «كُلُّ شَيْءٍ مَا لَمْ يَدْخُلِ الْمِرْوَدُ فِي الْمُكْحُلَةِ فَإِذَا دَخَلَ فَذَلِكَ الزِّنَا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح

On the authority of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he said: "If you all were not to commit sins, Allah would have destroyed you and bring people who commit sins and seek His forgiveness." – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ دَرَّاجًا حَدَّثَهُ عَنِ ابْنِ حُجَيْرٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ أَنَّكُمْ لَا تُخْطِئُونَ لَأَتَى اللَّهُ بِقَوْمٍ يُخْطِئُونَ يَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَشَاهِدُهُ حَدِيثُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو صحيح – صحيح

The Prophet (pbuh) said, "If the people did not commit sins, Allah, the Almighty, would have created a creation that sins, and then He would have forgiven them, for He is the All-Forgiving, the Most Merciful." Narrated by Shahida.

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَمْرٍو عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ السَّمَّاكِ ثَنَا أَبُو قِلَابَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو عَبَّادٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبَّادٍ وَيَحْيَى بْنُ كَثِيرِ بْنِ دِرْهَمٍ قَالَا ثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ أَبِي بَلَحٍ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ «لَوْ أَنَّ الْعِبَادَ لَمْ يُذْنِبُوا لَخَلَقَ اللَّهُ ﷻ خَلْقًا يُذْنِبُونَ ثُمَّ يَغْفِرُ لَهُمْ وَهُوَ الْغَفُورُ الرَّحِيمُ» أخرجه شاهدا

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: Allah, Exalted and Glorious, says: "O son of Adam, if you come to Me with an earthful of sins and meet Me without associating anything with Me in worship, I will certainly grant you as much forgiveness." – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ قَالَا ثَنَا أَبُو هَمَّامٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُجِيبٍ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ عَنِ الْمَعْرُورِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ اللَّهُ ﷻ ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنْ دَنَوْتَ مِنِّي شِبْرًا دَنَوْتُ مِنْكَ ذِرَاعًا وَإِنْ دَنَوْتَ مِنِّي ذِرَاعًا دَنَوْتُ مِنْكَ بَاعًا ابْنَ آدَمَ إِنْ حَدَّثْتَ نَفْسَكَ بِحَسَنَةٍ فَلَمْ تَعْمَلْهَا كَتَبْتُهَا لَكَ حَسَنَةً وَإِنْ عَمِلْتَهَا كَتَبْتُهَا لَكَ عَشْرًا وَإِنْ هَمَمْتَ بِسَيِّئَةٍ فَحَجَزَكَ عَنْهَا هَيْبَتِي كَتَبْتُهَا لَكَ حَسَنَةً وَإِنْ عَمِلْتَهَا كَتَبْتُهَا سَيِّئَةً وَاحِدَةً «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» صحيح – صحيح

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever mentions Allah in himself, Allah will mention him within Himself. And whoever mentions Allah in a gathering, Allah will mention him in a better gathering which is greater in number than the gathering in which he mentioned Him. And whoever draws near to Allah a hand's span, Allah will draw near to him an arm's length. And whoever comes to Allah walking, Allah will come to him running." – Sound

حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عِصْمَةَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَحْيَى أَنْبَأَ جَرِيرٌ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «مَنْ ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى فِي نَفْسِهِ ذَكَرَهُ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى فِي نَفْسِهِ وَمَنْ ذَكَرَ اللَّهَ فِي مَلَأٍ ذَكَرَهُ اللَّهُ فِي مَلَأٍ هُمْ أَكْثَرُ مِنَ الْمَلَأِ الَّذِينَ ذَكَرَهُ فِيهِمْ وَأَطْيَبُ وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ إِلَى اللَّهِ شِبْرًا تَقَرَّبَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ ذِرَاعًا وَمَنْ تَقَرَّبَ مِنَ اللَّهِ ذِرَاعًا تَقَرَّبَ اللَّهُ مِنْهُ بَاعًا وَمَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ مَشْيًا أَتَاهُ هَرْوَلَةً وَمَنْ أَتَى اللَّهَ هَرْوَلَةً أَتَاهُ اللَّهُ سَعْيًا» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ وَأَبُوعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ هَذَا هُوَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ السُّلَمِيُّ صحيح – صحيح

The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: "Everyone will enter Paradise except those who refuse and turn away from Allah, like the stray camel." – Sound Chain per Bukhārī and Muslim

حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْعَدْلُ الصَّيْدَلَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «لَتَدْخُلُنَّ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَبَى وَشَرَدَ عَلَى اللَّهِ كَشَرَادِ الْبَعِيرِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ وَقَدْ أَخْرَجَهُ الْبُخَارِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللَّهُ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ الْعَوْفِيِّ عَنْ فُلَيْحِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَسَارٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «كُلُّ أُمَّتِي يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَبَى» قِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ أَبَى؟ قَالَ «مَنْ عَصَانِي فَقَدْ أَبَى» وَقَدْ رُوِيَ الْمَتْنُ الْأَوَّلُ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّعلى شرط البخاري ومسلم – على شرط البخاري ومسلم

Abu Umamah al-Bahili passed by Khalid ibn Yazid ibn Muawiyah and asked him about a word he heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ . Khalid replied, "I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ saying, 'All of you will enter Paradise except those who refuse like a stray camel refuses to return to its owner.'" Adh-Dhahabi did not mention it in his summary. – Remains Silent

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ الْفَقِيهُ ثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثَنَا أَصْبَغُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ أَخْبَرَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هِلَالٍ عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ خَالِدٍ قَالَ

مَرَّ أَبُو أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيُّ عَلَى خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ فَسَأَلَهُ عَنْ أَلْيَنِ كَلِمَةٍ سَمِعَهَا مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ «كُلُّكُمْ يَدْخُلُ الْجَنَّةَ إِلَّا مَنْ شَرَدَ عَلَى اللَّهِ شَرَادَ الْبَعِيرِ عَلَى أَهْلِهِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص – سكت عنه

"The Messenger of Allah, peace be upon him, said: 'Verily, Allah created on the day He created the heavens and the earth, one hundred mercies. Each mercy fills what is between the heavens and the earth. He divided among His creation one mercy by which the mother shows compassion towards her child, and by which the wild animals and birds drink water. And it is by this mercy that creatures show compassion towards one another. And on the Day of Resurrection, He will reserve it for the believers and increase them by ninety-nine.'"

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْحَافِظُ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى ثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ زُرَيْعٍ ثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيُّ عَنْ سَلْمَانَ الْفَارِسِيِّ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضَ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ كُلُّ رَحْمَةٍ مِلْءُ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَقَسَمَ مِنْهَا رَحْمَةً بَيْنَ الْخَلَائِقِ بِهَا تَعْطِفُ الْوَالِدَةُ عَلَى وَلَدِهَا وَبِهَا يَشْرَبُ الْوَحْشُ وَالطَّيْرُ الْمَاءَ وَبِهَا يَتَرَاحَمُ الْخَلَائِقُ فَإِذَا كَانَ يَوْمُ الْقِيَامَةِ قَصَرَهَا عَلَى الْمُتَّقِينَ وَزَادَهُمْ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ إِنَّمَا اتَّفَقَا عَلَى حَدِيثِ سُلَيْمَانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ مُخْتَصَرًا مِثْلَ حَدِيثِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allah has one hundred parts of mercy. He has sent down one part of mercy to the world, and from it, creatures display affection and mercy between themselves, and that part is used for the sustenance and livelihood of human beings, animals, birds, and insects. And Allah has reserved the remaining ninety-nine parts of mercy for His servants on the Day of Resurrection."

حَدَّثَنِي عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَمْشَاذَ الْعَدْلُ ثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ غَالِبٍ قَالَا ثَنَا بَكَّارُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ السِّيرِينِيُّ ثَنَا عَوْفُ بْنُ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ «إِنَّ لِلَّهِ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ قَسَمَ رَحْمَةً بَيْنَ أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا وَسِعَتْهُمْ إِلَى آجَالِهِمْ وَأَخَّرَ تِسْعًا وَتِسْعِينَ رَحْمَةً لِأَوْلِيَائِهِ وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى قَابِضٌ تِلْكَ الرَّحْمَةَ الَّتِي قَسَمَهَا بَيْنَ أَهْلِ الدُّنْيَا إِلَى التِّسْعِ وَالتِّسْعِينَ فَيُكْمِلُهَا مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ لِأَوْلِيَائِهِ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ الشَّيْخَيْنِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ بِهَذِهِ السِّيَاقَةِ

Abū Bakr Muḥammad b. ʿAbdullāh al-Shāfiʿī > Muḥammad b. Maslamah al-Wāsiṭī And Muḥammad b. Rumḥ al-Sammāk > Yazīd b. Hārūn > Saʿīd b. Iyās al-Jurayrī > Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥīrī > Jundub > Jāʾ

An Arab came and tethered his camel. Then, he tethered her and prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished praying, he came to his camel, released her reins, got on her, and called out, "O Allah, have mercy on me and Muhammad, and do not include anyone else in Your mercy." The Prophet ﷺ said, "Do you say that he misled you or his camel? Did you not hear what he said?" They replied, "Indeed, we did." He said, "Indeed, the mercy of Allah is vast. Allah has created 100 parts of mercy, and He sent down one part amongst His creation, including jinn, humans, and animals. And with Allah remains 99 parts of mercy." – Sound

أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الشَّافِعِيُّ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُمْحٍ السَّمَّاكُ قَالَا ثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ سَعِيدُ بْنُ إِيَاسٍ الْجُرَيْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْحِيرِيِّ ثَنَا جُنْدُبٌ قَالَ

جَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ فَأَنَاخَ رَاحِلَتَهُ ثُمَّ عَقَلَهَا فَصَلَّى خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَتَى رَاحِلَتَهُ فَأَطْلَقَ عِقَالَهَا ثُمَّ رَكِبَهَا ثُمَّ نَادَى اللَّهُمَّ ارْحَمْنِي وَمُحَمَّدًا وَلَا تُشْرِكْ فِي رَحْمَتِنَا أَحَدًا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «أَتَقُولُونَ هُوَ أَضَلُّ أَمْ بَعِيرُهُ أَلَمْ تَسْمَعُوا مَا قَالَ؟» قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ «لَقَدْ حَظَرَ رَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَاسِعَةٌ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَلَقَ مِائَةَ رَحْمَةٍ فَأَنْزَلَ رَحْمَةً يُعَاطِفُ بِهَا الْخَلَائِقُ جِنُّهَا وَإِنْسُهَا وَبَهَائِمُهَا وَعِنْدَهُ تِسْعٌ وَتِسْعُونَ رَحْمَةً» هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح – صحيح
