As for the narration of Jabir
أَمَّا حَدِيثُ جَابِرٍ

Muḥammad b. Ismāʿīl al-Sulamī > Aḥmad b. Muḥammad b. Salamah al-ʿAnazī > ʿUthmān b. Saʿīd al-Dārimī > Saʿīd b. Abū Maryam > Yaḥyá b. Ayyūb > Ibn Jurayj > Abū al-Zubayr > Jābir b. ʿAbdullāh
The Prophet said: "Do not seek knowledge in order to show off in front of the scholars, or to argue with the foolish, and do not choose the best seat in a gathering, due to it (i.e. the knowledge which you have learned) for whoever does that, the Fire, the Fire (awaits him)."
فَأَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ الْقَنْطَرِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ السُّلَمِيُّ وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ الْعَنَزِيُّ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ قَالَا ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ أَنْبَأَ يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لَا تَعَلَّمُوا الْعِلْمَ لِتُبَاهُوا بِهِ الْعُلَمَاءَ أَوْ تُمَارُوا بِهِ السُّفَهَاءَ وَلَا لِتَحِيزُوا بِهِ الْمَجْلِسَ فَمَنْ فَعَلَ ذَلِكَ فَالنَّارُ النَّارُ»

Regarding Ibn Jurayj, he transmitted it, and Yahya also agreed on its inclusion in the authentic books. Abdullah ibn Wahb sent it to me. I adhere to the principle that I established in accepting additional narrations from trustworthy sources in both the chains of transmission and the texts. This was narrated by Ibn Wahb and he sent it to me.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحُسَيْنِ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَمَّادٍ التُّجِيبِيُّ بِمِصْرَ ثنا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَيُّوبَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ جُرَيْجٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ فَذَكَرَهُ بِمِثْلِهِ «هَذَا إِسْنَادُ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْمِصْرِيِّ
عَنْ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ فَوَصَلَهُ وَيَحْيَى مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَى إِخْرَاجِهِ فِي الصَّحِيحَيْنِ وَقَدْ أَرْسَلَهُ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ فَأَنَا عَلَى الْأَصْلِ الَّذِي أَصَّلْتُهُ فِي قَبُولِ الزِّيَادَةِ مِنَ الثِّقَةِ فِي الْأَسَانِيدِ وَالْمُتُونِ» رواه ابن وهب فأرسله
