بَابُ كَمِ الدِّيَةُ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote to the people of Yemen: In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. From Muhammad, the Prophet ﷺ , to Shurahbil ibn Abd Kulal, Harith ibn Abd Kulal, and Nuaim ibn Abd Kulal, also known as Dhī Ruayn, Ma'āfir, and Hamdān. In his letter, he said, "Verily, in the soul is a hundred camels." – Weak Chain

أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ مُوسَى حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ دَاوُدَ حَدَّثَنِي الزُّهْرِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ إِلَى شُرَحْبِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ كُلَالٍ وَالْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ كُلَالٍ وَنُعَيْمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ كُلَالٍ قِيَلِ ذِي رُعَيْنٍ وَمَعَافِرَ وَهَمْدَانَ فَكَانَ فِي كِتَابِهِ «وَإِنَّ فِي النَّفْسِ الدِّيَةَ مِائَةٌ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ» – إسناده ضعيف

"Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wrote a letter to the people of Yemen and in his letter he mentioned: 'In the nose, when its tip becomes reddish, there is a portion of blood money (Diyah). In the tongue, there is a portion of blood money (Diyah). In the lips, there is a portion of blood money (Diyah). In the two front teeth, there is a portion of blood money (Diyah). In the male organ, there is a portion of blood money (Diyah). In the chest, there is a portion of blood money (Diyah). In the eyes, there is a portion of blood money (Diyah). In one leg, there is half of blood money (Diyah). In the mamoomeh (a domestic animal other than a camel), there is one-third of blood money (Diyah). In the jaifa (a domestic animal other than a camel), there is one-third of blood money (Diyah). In the manqqilah (a type of camel), there are fifteen camels worth of blood money (Diyah)." – Weak Chain

أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَتَبَ إِلَى أَهْلِ الْيَمَنِ وَكَانَ فِي كِتَابِهِ «وَفِي الْأَنْفِ إِذَا أُوعِبَ جَدْعُهُ الدِّيَةُ وَفِي اللِّسَانِ الدِّيَةُ وَفِي الشَّفَتَيْنِ الدِّيَةُ وَفِي الْبَيْضَتَيْنِ الدِّيَةُ وَفِي الذَّكَرِ الدِّيَةُ وَفِي الصُّلْبِ الدِّيَةُ وَفِي الْعَيْنَيْنِ الدِّيَةُ وَفِي الرِّجْلِ الْوَاحِدَةِ نِصْفُ الدِّيَةِ وَفِي الْمَأْمُومَةِ ثُلُثُ الدِّيَةِ وَفِي الْجَائِفَةِ ثُلُثُ الدِّيَةِ وَفِي الْمُنَقِّلَةِ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ مِنَ الْإِبِلِ» – إسناده ضعيف
