Daily Supplications

We have dua` for everything and there is reward for using these dua`s (in sha’ Allāh). This post contains minimum dua`s that we all should know and memorize.

Wake up

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ

Praise is due to Allāh, Who gave us life after our death (sleep) and unto Thee is resurrection. ¹

Entering Bathroom

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْخُبُثِ وَالْخَبَائِثِ

O Allāh, I seek refuge in You from male and female devils. ²

Exiting Bathroom

غُفْرَانَكَ

(O Allāh) I seek forgiveness and pardon from You ³

Putting on Clothes

الحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِي كَسَانِي هَذَا الثَّوْبَ وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْرِ حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

All Praise is for Allāh who has clothed me with this garment and provided it for me, with no power nor might from myself. ⁴

Before Eating

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ

In the name of Allāh ⁵

If you forget in the beginning

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ

In the name of Allāh at the beginning and at the end of it. ⁶

After Eating

الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنِي هَذَا وَرَزَقَنِيهِ مِنْ غَيْر حَوْلٍ مِنِّي وَلَا قُوَّةٍ

All praise is for Allāh, who fed me this, and provided it for me without any might or power from myself. ^{7 8}

Exiting House

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ لاَ حَوْلَ وَلاَ قُوَّةَ إِلاَّ بِاللَّهِ

In the name of Allāh, I trust in Allāh; there is no might and no power but in Allāh ⁹

Evil Eye and Other Harms

أَعُوذُ بِكَلِمَاتِ اللَّهِ التَّامَّةِ مِنْ كُلِّ شَيْطَانٍ وَهَامَّةٍ، وَمِنْ كُلِّ عَيْنٍ لاَمَّةٍ

O Allāh! I seek Refuge with Your Perfect Words from every devil and from poisonous pests and from every evil, harmful, envious eye. ¹⁰

Before Sleeping

اللَّهُمَّ بِاسْمِكَ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا

O Allāh, in Your Name I dies and I live ¹¹
