Al-Adab Al-Mufrad 1237

Anas ibn Malik reported that a man cursed fleas in the presence of the Prophet ﷺ and the Prophet ﷺ said, "Do not curse them. A flea woke up one of the Prophets for the prayer."

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا صَفْوَانُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدٌ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّ رَجُلاً لَعَنَ بُرْغُوثًا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَقَالَ: لاَ تَلْعَنْهُ، فَإِنَّهُ أَيْقَظَ نَبِيًّا مِنَ الأنْبِيَاءِ لِلصَّلاةِ.
