Abu Hurairah said; Al-Aqra’ b. Habib saw that the Messenger of Allahﷺ was kissing Husain. He said:

I have ten children and I have never kissed any of them. The Messenger of Allahﷺ said: He who does not show tenderness will not be shown tenderness.

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ الأَقْرَعَ بْنَ حَابِسٍ، أَبْصَرَ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ وَهُوَ يُقَبِّلُ حُسَيْنًا فَقَالَ إِنَّ لِي عَشْرَةً مِنَ الْوَلَدِ مَا فَعَلْتُ هَذَا بِوَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمْ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ
" مَنْ لاَ يَرْحَمُ لاَ يُرْحَمُ " .
