Sunan Abu Dawood 440

This tradition has been transmitted through a different chain by Abu Qatadah to the same effect. This version adds:

"He performed ablution when the sun had arisen high and led them in prayer."

حَدَّثَنَا هَنَّادٌ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْثَرٌ، عَنْ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمَعْنَاهُ قَالَ فَتَوَضَّأَ حِينَ ارْتَفَعَتِ الشَّمْسُ فَصَلَّى بِهِمْ .
