A’ishah said The Apostle of Allah ﷺ gave us our choice and we chose him so that was not reckoned anything (i.e., divorce)

حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ خَيَّرَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاخْتَرْنَاهُ فَلَمْ يَعُدَّ ذَلِكَ شَيْئًا .
