Narrated Abdullah ibn Mas'ud:

During the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ we used to consider ma'un (this of daily use) lending a bucket and cooking-pot.

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، عَنْ شَقِيقٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ كُنَّا نَعُدُّ الْمَاعُونَ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ عَارِيَةَ الدَّلْوِ وَالْقِدْرِ .
