Sunan Abu Dawood 1344

The above tradition has also been transmitted by Yahya b. Sa'id to the same effect. The version adds the words:

"He uttered the salutation so loudly that we could hear it."

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدٌ، بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ قَالَ : يُسَلِّمُ تَسْلِيمًا يُسْمِعُنَا كَمَا قَالَ يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ .
