(76) – Raising The Hands For the Bowing Position

Salim narrated from :
his father (Ibn Umar) who said: "I saw Allah's Messenger when he opened the Salat, raising his hands to the level of his shoulders, and (again) when he bowed, and when he raised his head from bowing." In his narration, Ibn Abi Umar added: "And he wuld not raise them between the two prostrations."
حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِذَا افْتَتَحَ الصَّلاَةَ يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى يُحَاذِيَ مَنْكِبَيْهِ وَإِذَا رَكَعَ وَإِذَا رَفَعَ رَأْسَهُ مِنَ الرُّكُوعِ . وَزَادَ ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ فِي حَدِيثِهِ وَكَانَ لاَ يَرْفَعُ بَيْنَ السَّجْدَتَيْنِ .
