Narrated Jabir:

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited eating the cat and from its price."

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib. We do not know of any major (known) narrators who reports from 'Umar bin Zaid (one of the narrators) besides 'Abdur-Razzaq.

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ نَهَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ عَنْ أَكْلِ الْهِرِّ وَثَمَنِهِ .

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ . وَعُمَرُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ لاَ نَعْرِفُ كَبِيرَ أَحَدٍ رَوَى عَنْهُ غَيْرَ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ .
