What Has Been Related About Eating Snake Cucumber With Fresh Dates

Narrated 'Abdullah bin Ja'far:

"The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would eat snake cucumber with fresh dates.

[Abu 'Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih Gharib, we do not know of it except as a narration of Ibrahim bin Sa'd.

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْفَزَارِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَأْكُلُ الْقِثَّاءَ بِالرُّطَبِ .

قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ .
