Nuṣayr b. al-Faraj > Shuʿayb b. Ḥarb > ʿAbd al-ʿAzīz b. ʿAbdullāh b. Abū Salamah > Muḥammad b. al-Munkadir > Jābir

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I dreamt that I entered paradise, and there was a palace with a white courtyard and a young girl inside." So I asked, "Who does this belong to, O Gabriel?" He replied, "This belongs to Umar ibn Al-Khattab, and I intended to enter it, but then I remembered your jealousy." So Umar said, "By my father and mother, O Messenger of Allah, do you feel jealous?"

أَخْبَرَنَا نُصَيْرُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ

قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ «أُرِيتُ أَنِّي دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ وَإِذَا قَصْرٌ أَبْيَضُ بِفِنَائِهِ جَارِيَةٌ» فَقُلْتُ لِمَنْ هَذَا يَا جِبْرِيلُ؟ قَالَ «هَذَا لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ فَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ أَدْخُلَهُ فَأَنْظُرَ إِلَيْهِ فَذَكَرْتُ غَيْرَتَكَ» فَقَالَ «بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَوَ عَلَيْكَ أَغَارُ؟»
