Sunan an-Nasa'i al-Kubra 7936

Ismāʿīl b. Masʿūd > Yazīd / Ibn Zurayʿ > Dāwud b. Abū Hind > ʿIkrimah > Ibn ʿAbbās

The Quran was revealed in its entirety on the Night of Decree to the lowest heaven, and whenever God willed to create something from it, He would create it.

أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ زُرَيْعٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ أَبِي هِنْدَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ

نُزِّلَ الْقُرْآنُ جُمْلَةً فِي لَيْلَةِ الْقَدْرِ إِلَى السَّمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا فَكَانَ إِذَا أَرَادَ اللهُ أَنْ يُحْدِثَ مِنْهُ شَيْئًا أَحْدَثَهُ
