The Messenger of Allah, ﷺ , said, "Whoever finds a lost item, should testify to its ownership, take care of its keys and locks, and not hide or conceal it. If the owner comes forward, then it should be returned to them. But if the owner does not come forward, then it will be considered as the property of Allah, who gives it to whomsoever He wills."
