Aḥmad b. Sulaymān Abū al-Ḥasan al-Ruhāwī > Abū Dāwud / ʿUmar b. Saʿīd al-Ḥafarī > Sufyān > Salamah b. Kuhayl > ʿAbdullāh b. ʿAbd al-Raḥman b. Abzá from his father

The Prophet, ﷺ , used to say in the morning: "We have started the day upon the nature of Islam, the word of sincerity, the religion of our Prophet Muhammad, ﷺ , and the way of our father Ibrahim, who was upright in monotheism and not one of the polytheists." Narrated by Ahmad bin Harb, who said: Qasim informed us, who is the son of Yazid al-Jarmi, who heard it from Sufyan, who heard it from Salamah bin Kuhayl, from Abdullah bin Abdul Rahman bin Abza, from his father, who said: the Prophet, ﷺ , used to say, "When the morning comes, he is like it is."

أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ الرُّهَاوِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَهُوَ عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الْحَفَرِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ قَالَ «أَصْبَحْنَا عَلَى فِطْرَةِ الْإِسْلَامِ وَكَلِمَةِ الْإِخْلَاصِ وَدِينِ نَبِيِّنَا مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ وَمِلَّةِ أَبِينَا إِبْرَاهِيمَ حَنِيفًا وَمَا كَانَ مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ» [136] 10104 أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا قَاسِمٌ وَهُوَ ابْنُ يَزِيدَ الْجَرْمِيُّ عَنْ سُفْيَانَ عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبْزَى عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا أَصْبَحَ مِثْلَهُ سَوَاءٌ
