The saying of Allah, the Most High, "And to Allah belong the best names, so invoke Him by them" [Al-A'raf: 180], mentioning the names of Allah, the Exalted and Blessed.

Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Allah has ninety-nine names, i.e. one-hundred minus one, and whoever knows them will go to Paradise." (Please see Hadith No. 419 Vol. 8)
أَخْبَرَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ وَذَكَرَ آخَرَ قَبْلَهُ عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزِّنَادِ عَنِ الْأَعْرَجِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ «لِلَّهِ تِسْعَةٌ وَتِسْعُونَ اسْمًا مِائَةٌ إِلَّا وَاحِدًا مَنْ أَحْصَاهَا دَخَلَ الْجَنَّةَ إِنَّهُ وِتْرٌ يُحِبُّ الْوِتْرَ» اللَّفْظُ لِرَبِيعٍ
