It was narrated that 'Ali said:

"I made some food and invited the Prophet ﷺ (to come and eat). He came and entered, then he saw a curtain on which there were images, so he went out and said: 'The Angels do not enter a house in which there are images.'"

حَدَّثَنَا مَسْعُودُ بْنُ جُوَيْرِيَةَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ صَنَعْتُ طَعَامًا فَدَعَوْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ فَجَاءَ فَدَخَلَ فَرَأَى سِتْرًا فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرُ فَخَرَجَ وَقَالَ " إِنَّ الْمَلاَئِكَةَ لاَ تَدْخُلُ بَيْتًا فِيهِ تَصَاوِيرُ " .
