It was narrated from 'Aishah, may Allah be pleased with her, that:

the Messenger of Allah cut off (a thief's hand) for one quarter of a Dinar.

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَطَعَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فِي رُبُعِ دِينَارٍ .
