(25) – باب نَهْيِ الآكِلِ مَعَ جَمَاعَةٍ عَنْ قِرَانِ تَمْرَتَيْنِ وَنَحْوِهِمَا فِي لُقْمَةٍ إِلاَّ بِإِذْنِ أَصْحَابِهِ
(25) – The prohibition of eating two dates etc., at a time when eating with a group, except with the permission of one's companions

Jabala b. Suhaim reported: I heard Ibn 'Umar as saying that Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade anyone taking two dates together without seeking the consent of his companions.
حَدَّثَنِي زُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ سُحَيْمٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَنْ يَقْرِنَ الرَّجُلُ بَيْنَ التَّمْرَتَيْنِ حَتَّى يَسْتَأْذِنَ أَصْحَابَهُ .
