(52) – باب إِبَاحَةِ الْهَدِيَّةِ لِلنَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَلِبَنِي هَاشِمٍ وَبَنِي الْمُطَّلِبِ
(52) – Gifts are permissible for the Prophet ﷺ and Banu Hashim and Banu Al-Muttalib, even if the giver acquired it by way of charity. When the receipient takes possession of Charity, it is no longer described as charity, and it is permissible for anyone for whom charity is otherwise unlawful

Anas b. Malik reported that Barira presented to the Apostle of Allah ﷺ a piece of meat which had been given to her as sadaqa. Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: That is a Sadaqa for her and a gift for us.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَأَبُو كُرَيْبٍ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ، الْمُثَنَّى وَابْنُ بَشَّارٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، كِلاَهُمَا عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، - وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ - حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، سَمِعَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ أَهْدَتْ بَرِيرَةُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ لَحْمًا تُصُدِّقَ بِهِ عَلَيْهَا فَقَالَ " هُوَ لَهَا صَدَقَةٌ وَلَنَا هَدِيَّةٌ " .
