Muwatta Imam Malik Book of Divorce, Hadith 109

Yahya related to me from Malik that he had heard that Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ said, "A mourning woman can rub her head with lotus leaves and olive oil.''

وَحَدَّثَنِي عَنْ مَالِكٍ، أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، زَوْجَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ كَانَتْ تَقُولُ تَجْمَعُ الْحَادُّ رَأْسَهَا بِالسِّدْرِ وَالزَّيْتِ .
