It was narrated that ‘Ali said:
“The daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was permitted to me as a bride, and our bed on the night when she was presented to me, was no more than the hide of a ram.”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ طَرِيفٍ، وَإِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ، عَنْ مُجَالِدٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ أُهْدِيَتِ ابْنَةُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَىَّ فَمَا كَانَ فِرَاشُنَا لَيْلَةَ أُهْدِيَتْ إِلاَّ مَسْكَ كَبْشٍ .
